Regardless of how tired they are only Germany's capable of beating Spain.

The difference at the top level is much slimmer than we care to realise imo. Remember how badly France flopped in '02? Zidane or no Zidane, they were expected to win their group easily.

Yeah but Spain and Germany in full strength are different class than the other team. France did well recently though but overall not consistent.
The Hunter is a shirt ripper
I was referring to the France team that were Euro and World champions going into the '02 WC.
What I mean is that fatigue plays a big part in int'l tournaments, as they're played soon after the end of what are 60-odd game seasons for the players that fare best during the year.
FIGHT
SMASH UP THOSE PONCY SPANIARDS
Papadopoulos has a monster chin.
The Hunter gave the Glasgow kiss same as Reina but not sent off. Typical.
Diouf equalises for Hannover off a long throw-in. 13 minutes left for Hannover to win it or at least force extra time.
Raul and arguably Farfan are the only ones who have really looked up for it. Huntelaar has been decent, but not had the impact he could have had.
All 4 ties are edgy, but cant see Bilboa losing.
Valencia look home and dry tbh. AZ need 3 goals.
Hannover-Atletico is most interesting now. Very close.
Falcao's technique is absolutely shocking at times.
Lost Internet Conection so haven't been able to update, not gonna bother updating the results
I think Schalke did well and did what you can expect from a german team. They played well but if you put all together Bilbao deserved it.
And a beautiful finish from his makes it 1-2.
It's funny seeing Spanish blokes with pink shower coats on.
Very ggaayy. raining in Spain, water shortage England.
Falcao great game. Over now in Hannover. Three spanish teams get the next round. Amazing.
I don't think Schalke have done too well overall. Over the two legs they've played themselves into trouble a little too often and been hit on the counter. Bilbao have been better by far, played with real fluency.
What a goal from Atletico. Clever clever team.
