Mourinho Willing To Pay 16.5m For Walker

Bale always had more about him when he played on the wing, even when he was really young and scored against Arsenal you could see he had the close control, decision making and composure to move forward. Walker doesn't have this in my eyes.

I haven't seen enough of Naughton to say whether he is a marked improvement on Corluka. But if so, I'd want him recalled.

I would like him recalled to be fair, he isnt much of an improvement on Corluka, but he is trained in England which helps, and he is younger and not as injury prone, so wont be on as much wages.

Plus he would sell for less money as well I reckon.

"trained in England which helps"

Age/nationality definitely helps in the quota scheme of things (especially if we have to go abroad for dem WC players) .

Naughton/Caulker/Rose will certainly count well for Spurs.

I would honestly relish the chance to see a Walker-Cauker-Kaboul-Rose back four in seasons to come.

Would be really proud to see 4 players who have made their way from being 'potential' to really top players.

I think that is coming.
Kaboul just needs the finishing touch mentoring from Ledley/Gallas to be the senior of the CB pairing.
Rose needs more playing time ( Arry) .

I hope that is coming, yet wouldnt be too disheartened if we spent big in a better cb like Jagielka to compensate from the loss of Ledley/Gallas. One thing I am certain of is that Caulker will be a top CB in years to come.

Wonder if Samba will be bought.
If Blackburn avoid the drop, he won't face the "rat leaving the sinking ship" .

"One thing I am certain of is that Caulker will be a top CB in years to come."

The concern is whether that will be at Spurs or not.

Samba transferred to Anzhi weeks ago.

Missed that one.
Would explain why I've heard nowt of him recently.

Im a bit concerned about the whole Caulker situation. The guy appears to be a great talent and could potentially be the main stay of our defence for many years. Whilst I admire his drive he does seem a little impetuous.

In the January window he publicly expressed his displeasure on Twitter at us bringing Nelsen in.
'Ha another Centre back....Hmm Summer!

I just hope we don't force him out for not giving him enough opportunities

posted on 6/4/12

Nelsen is about 40 isn't he? And injury prone? Surely that signing was a short term fix?

posted on 6/4/12

Yeah, and if not DJ King and Gallas are on their way out anyway so we may be 3 CB's lighter.

posted on 6/4/12

Yeah they're getting old, but he clearly thought at the time he posted that tweet that he was going to be struggling for game time. Its important for the club to make it clear his time will come I guess..

Wonder if Ledley and Gallas end their playing a la Woodgate re terms. But Ledley must get put into the coaching setup.

And so the exodus begins

If this story is true then i hope he never comes back to Chelsea.

Jose thinks if he can get as many Spurs players over to Madrid before he returns, your lot might be able to beat Spurs.

Load of guff.

Arbeloa isn't a world beater. But he's easily better than Walker (who's done f all) and Glen Johnson.

Blatantly a load of nonsense... as soon as I saw Glen Johnson being linked with Real I knew it was a slow news day
