I like the look of the Swansea manager, and maybe one day hope he is good enough for the top level but at the moment too early to say for me.
I personally would rather Rafa came in and worked beside Kenny for now until ready to take other from him, also to help him out in the tactics and transfer dealings dept(might mean the end of Comoli though) that way when Rafa takes over he would have had an input on the players we signed so could work with them straight away, where as a new manager would have dif ideas and player styles they are looking for and we might be back to square one as far as the team goes.
of course that depends on if the owners/Kenny or any of us want Rafa back or not, but i personally do.
Mansfield Town fan in peace. LAL
Seriously though I hope you bring back Rafa. Gave him a lot of stick in the past but now that I see the players Dalglish has bought and thought what Rafa could have done with that money, I'm kind of glad you got rid of him.
But as funny as it is watching you languish in mid table the league is better off with Liverpool at the top competing. It isn't as funny winding up the fans when they know their team is crap. Bring back the delusional fools who thought top 4 was a give at the start of the season!
do you live near Mansfield Batmanu
GB, here's a couple of names for YOU, brian mcdermott and brendan rodgers
^ Sorry!
I meant to say you have good owners prepared to invest, what you need is a modern manager astute in transfer dealings who can use this investment wisely. Rodgers would be a very good choice, would be wasted at Tottenham if he went there.
No idea y i posted this on the mansfield board!!!!!
Mansfield would give us a game. We would win after a penalty shootout!
We ask for stability in the same sentence that we ask for a new manager, this is contradiction. Stability comes with consistency and changing managers is not how to do that!
A poor season should not equal a sacking. Benitez had he stayed after one poor season could be manager now with over £100m to spend. His team now would be formed and probably winning trophies we have missed out on. Instead Hodgson played his hand and was sacked and now Dalglish is trying to play his with people pointing him towards the exit.
If we want stability we have to keep the same set up, the same management and the same direction. If marriages were like football managers and clubs everyone would be divorced after the honeymoon - sounds ridiculous, right?
So stick with King Kenny and allow him to at least add to the foundations before we tear them up and start again!
I was not suggesting we get rid of Kd at all, in fact id id say stick with him for yrs to come. I was referring to when the inevitable happens and he does leave; when we need a young hungry manager who can be at Liverpool for decades hopefully.
