The man went to the big league's and got shown up

He's to light to fight giants like Klitschko

I watched the fight and am glad i didn't pay to watch it, as you say he was put in his place by a much better fighter.

I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch !
I thought it was a rubbish fight last night by the way.

Haye had a poor fight last night. He didnt do anything to to counter the big jab of vlad.
Would love to see a rematch as i think Haye could actually win, but please dont hurt your toe next time david!

He isnt in the klits league. He is a hype machine with a big mouth and nothing more. Toe or broken toe makes little to no difference, he straight up got beaten up for 10 rounds.

he came in way to light for me,and got his tactics wrong.

he shlda looked too roll under the jab with more side to side movement, like iron mike used to.

MAY have given him the chance to get inside and then the shot for me wlda been the uppercut, which doesn't seem to get used so much nowaday's but is a very effective punch.

like just about all british fighters, fell short on the biggest stage.

the toe did look sore, but pull out,the money spent on the bout is irrelevant,if you know 3wks in advance then pull out.

don't look to it as an out after the event.

I would also love to see a rematch as there are no other fights for Klitschko, i will still be cheering on Haye to win.

I think Haye should have pulled out of the fight knowing he had broken a toe.

If anyone hasn´t broken a toe or finger then I can assure you that not only does it hurt a lot but it very much restricts your movement.

What was David thinking by going into this fight in that condition ???

He couldnt, he would of been in the gutter, he has already bottled it vs klit a few years ago.

don't look to it as an out after the event.

End of the day it was an excuse, and a very bad one. He is getting slaughtered on radio for it today and rightfully so. He is an arrogant overrated fighter who got utterly dominated. He doesnt deserve a rematch after that P poor showing.

As for his toe, if had an injection before the fight he wouldnt have felt a thing, many fighters and sports people have said the same thing. He didnt get his punches off correctly because he wasnt good enough to hit klit because klit is a far better boxer. Just got outclassed.

A simple pain killing injection before the match would have been fine IF in fact he did have a broken toe. Just excuses. Pathetic really.

Some very harsh comments.

Klitchko is a real life Ivan Drago and the size and weight difference between the two fighters was there for all to see.

Haye is not really a heavyweight and Klitchko is what I would class as a super heavyweight. Arguably Klitchko should be fighting two or three weight divisions above Haye.

Haye chose to go up to heavyweight, he chose to mouth off that he was better than klitchko, he chose to say he would knock him out in 6 rounds. He chose to call the fighters klit has faced before bums and the promptly get embarssed in a similar fashion. It was his choice to do all those things, he did not have to.

Did you see how Wlad was fighting

Give a little jab then back away like a big girls blouse. It was near impossible for Haye to land a shot at him.

Wlad is one of the most negative boxers around. Pu.ssy.

Tyson would have killed him.

Yet still beat haye up, and he did wack him up badly. Why should he changge a winning game plan anyway?

Haye got smashed.

don't think he 'whacked him up badly' mate.

instead of just mugging haye off,how about you offer some thoughts on what he coulda done differently?!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Haye knew that he didn´t have much chance against Klitchko.

He tried to anger Klitchko in the hope that an angry Klitchko would open up for him in the fight and give him some spaces to hit.

It didn´t work as Klitchko is too clever a fighter and just too big for Haye.

Nothing. He cant beat wlad. As I have said, he isnt the same class. Now he has the belt off haye there is absoulultey no reason haye should be in the same ring as klit again. Isnt good enough.

Those who have a slight clue about boxing know this to be case. If you want proof watch the replay of last nights match. Battered.

posted on 3/7/11

he lost every round for sure, but not battered, neither fighter landed that manny heavy shot's.

all i'm saying mate,is,offer an alternative plan that haye clda adopted!

posted on 3/7/11

What do you want me to say? Haye used the best strategy he had in his locker, he gave it his best and was out classed. If he went for it, he would have gassed out and been knocked out. He went defensive and wasnt good enough to pull it off.

posted on 3/7/11

well that's better than just keep saying 'he got battered' end of chat.

i'm not disagreeing that he was well beaten, just that he came in to light and yes,too negative.

think he wlda been getting alot more respect today if he had gone for it a little more, even if it had ended in him getting sparked.

Are you serious? Or just dumb? Vlad attacked all fight chasing Haye around the ring. If haye didnt act like a scared little girl running away he would have been ko'd. true Tyson would have beaten both those guys easily but heavy weight boxing is gone very poor. If a fighter like Haye can win a world title something is wrong with the sport. Im just glad he finally got shown up for the mouthy little girl he is.

I think allot of people underestimated Wlad's footwork, he was able to step out of range at will causing Haye to swing and miss with the big right hand.

Wlad is technically very good and does not get enough credit IMO. Haye didn't think Wlad was as good as he is, thought he could just step in and land at will but Wlad simply took a step back.

In fairness to Haye you could see Wlad had respect for his power and never let it become an issue by stepping out of range. Haye did whatever he did in the build up but that's part and parcel of the game, although not shaking a multi tile holders hand is not on, as Tony Soprano said "Those who want respect, give respect".

I still hope Haye fights Vitali, would be a different fight and still one of the best fights in the division, or If Chris Areola continues to stay trim and train correctly that could be a good fight for Haye, similar height, both have heavy hands, could be decent.

At the end of the day Haye, like so many more just could not deal with the size, and more importantly the technical ability of Wlad, there is a good interview with Emanual Stewart on the Ring site talking about Wlad's footwork, the proof was in the pudding last night.

He should be called 'Run Away Haye'.

He won a title doing that, and certainly did it again last night. I'm just glad I didn’t pay for the fight, I'd want my money back!
