Spot on, Mourinho always does brilliant in the transfer window. I remember when Chelsea bought Drogba, I was very sceptical about it. Hold my hands up, because he has been a great signing for them.

For the past few months I've only really had time for RRP's match threads, which have been covered in wummery due to our poor run of late. A welcome change here

Smalling, i often agree with some of your posts but the rumour of Aguero to Real has traction.

Higuain is stalling on signing a new contract, he wants assurances from Mou that he should be the first no.9 when he and Benzema are fit. Mou rotates them both. So, Higuain might well leave.

Aguero has been destined for Real for a while and his garrulous father-in-law has often spoke of his home as Madrid. Well, we will see.

The state of the club's Mourinho has managed, after he has left them leaves me puzzled.

Does the fact that how low the ,clubs he managed, have sank since his departure confirm just how great a manager he is, or is he a great short-term manager who is incapable of providing a club with long-term success?

He has made a lot of comments hinting that he may leave Madrid. But where would he go? The Man Utd job isn't going to be available and even if it did, I think that Ferguson's influence is so strong at that club, that he himself will decide who his own successor is. Maybe a return to Chelsea, or if Mancini is sacked, which I think he will be, then to City?

Regarding Balotelli and my prediction that Mancini will be sacked.

If a new manager goes to City, then I think he would want rid of Balotelli. But what would City value at him at and what club would be willing to match the valuation? I think if Mancini was sacked, Balotelli would be like Emmanuel Adebayor is at the moment. A player with undoubted ability, but no club is willing to pay so much for him both in terms of a transfer fee and the massive wages.

Adebayor is not an on-pitch liability.
The <Citeh> wage market distortion is (and his desire to milk it for charidee work back home) .

Justice at last, Balotelli sent off. Song will feel better. Balotelli is the most pathetic, disgraceful player in the Prem. A complete disgrace to Man City, to football and to all his team mates. Kick him out of the game.

Can't feel too bad Arsenal won, they deserve too.
Man u have it in the bag.

The ref didnt see the tackle on Song. For that and the other incidents that should have been yellow cards he got away with I hope the FA ban him for at least the rest of this season and more.
