Reading the Luka stat I think he really needs to have a good game today
Chet
Did you see harrys comments about how happy he is with this new system he came across
He said we have dominated possesion and kept 2 clean sheets
So bloody what, we could of won these games with some attacking intent
Read about that yesterday weare. Sometimes I wonder what I expect from Harry tactically.
2 wins > 2 clean sheets

"He said we have dominated possesion and kept 2 clean sheets"
I remember in the 1977-78 season when Norwich were known as the "draw specialists" .
Maybe Luka just needs a rest !
Maybe Luka is overrated? There I said it.
RDBD, I'm really hoping they dont park the bus today
Hi Pattaya
Can we afford to give Modric a rest? Every game is must win. And our next game is the FA Cup semi-final
"Maybe Luka is overrated? There I said it."
Difference between good and WC is that the latter refuse to have bad days.
We just need a little luck. All the teams around us have had a touch recently.
I've lost count of the number of games over the last month or two where we've been denied by refs, lino's woodwork or incredible goalkeeping.
Setting off for the game shortly and I've got a good feeling about this one.
COME ON YOU SPURS!
"RDBD, I'm really hoping they dont park the bus today"
Only because Spurs cannot deal with it.
I wonder if Barca do those 6 vs 11 training drills also for attack, and not only for pressing.
"We just need a little luck."
You make your own luck. Usually by playing well to start with.
Think he needs a rest but also said a while back that if he has intentions of pushing for a move to chelsea if harry goes then how much does he want us to finish above them
Do you think the mangaer goes through these stats with the players.. sure Luca would be shocked about how poor we are
Sometimes i think harry is just blagging his way through managment by being a people person with the players
I wonder if we go all season without a goal from a freekick if it will be first team in history of the prem to do that... ?
RDBD, true you do make your own luck but even the
sh 1ttiest of teams get a bit of luck that gets em 3pts.
It certainly wouldn't hurt our prospects to get a 50/50 decision or a lucky bounce here or there.
WC players can have bad days, it's just that they're able to produce something good even on those bad days.
As jimmy says, it would be nice to get a slice of luck once in a while, the only decision really in our favour this season was Cahill being sent off for Bolton and even then we were already bossing the game anyway
"Do you think the mangaer goes through these stats with the players.. sure Luca would be shocked about how poor we are"
Wasn't that the premise for the baseball team that the Moneyball film was made from ??
That there are some irrefutable stats relating to the ability/performance of a player that completely override notions of 'moments of flair' etc.
RRP - I wouldn't even say that was a lucky moment considering as you say we were bossing the game and more importantly winning.
We were lucky against Fulham when I think Kaboul handballed it when the score was 2-1, and they had all the pressure on us. Other than that can't think of much. Maybe BAE's tackle during the Swansea game.
Spurtle - Exactly and SOME could argue it was a anyway due to him being the last man even if the tackle was near the half way line!
We just dont get those 50-50's, its wrong to blame games on these decisions, but how many offside goals have we had chalked off? I have counted 5 pen's that Foy has failed to give us this season
"We were lucky against Fulham"
When we were playing well as a team.
Apart from the Stoke game, all the things that went our way came when playing well week in week out.
RRP - We just haven't had as much luck as other teams around us it's fair to say. Think Ade has had 2 goals chalked off for offside
RDBD - Yep that seems to be the way. We should accept though that our bad run did involve our hardest run of fixtures in the league. We were never going to carry the form on through that spell without dropping points.
"We should accept though that our bad run did involve our hardest run of fixtures in the league. We were never going to carry the form on through that spell without dropping points."
Of course. But how many times do I have to say it ??
There was LEEWAY for some bad results, as the end target was quite modest (60 pts after the Chelsky game) .
RDBD - Being fair, we should have at least got a point from Everton away, and a point or 2 from United at home and Arsenal away, which is only a few points difference from what we actually got. Of course the points difference for the Arsenal match would be of huge significance.
Anyway, I would say the results on paper in that run was more expect than say the Wolves draw we got at home when we were in great form.
