David Silva, blowing hot and cold and didn't cause our team much problem this season.

Suarez would be better than Cavani if he could actually finish.

Modic, saurez and bale. I'd take many perm CM over modric. If he played for arsenal, no one would really talk about him. Its the spurs love in that overrates, same for Bale.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the worst "world class" player I've ever seen in my life, people only think he's good because he's good on fifa

Messi's only over rated in the sense that he's playing against poorer defenders than say the real Ronaldo, but then you need to say that all the good players about just now are over-rated. And, just for the record, Messi is fantastic.

You're either extremely dim witted. Or your football common sense has been dulled by watching Scottish football week in, week out.

Ibra only scores against diddy teams, but please make your case of how he's world class and make a t!t of yourself

My football commons sense has been dulled, one of your favourite players is Torres

He's the top scorer in Serie A. He's an established player. You've bought into the 'let's hate Ibra' hype.

"My football commons sense has been dulled, one of your favourite players is Torres"

And your point is? Should abandon players when they go on a rout? He's still class. Obviously you just see stats.

Can't believe I forgot to mention Sneijder. One season wonder.

It seems it's 'cool' to hate Ibra. He's a wonderful footballer, if a tad lazy.

In Torres I've seen a player sticking his head down, running into dead ends and missing sitters for the last two seasons, hardly class just because he hit the post with a volley once in a while. He brings almost nothing to a team these days.

Ibra has never turned up in a big game in his entire career, he's good in his comfort zone against lesser teams but when it matters he looks like he's just wondered on off the street. World class players do the business in big games

He was good against Arsenal in the CL this year, was also good against them for Barca...

But I've already had this debate today and cba to do it all over again.

Ibrahimovic, Sneijder, Silva, Hart, Jones, Smalling, Rooney, Welbeck, Nani, Young, Walker, Bale, Modric, Parker, Walcott, Henderson, Carroll, Downing, Adam the list goes on...

A&SE, you forgot half the Chelsea team

Arsenal's defence were all over the place in both those games.

He was free on goal for both that he scored when he was playing for Barca, Xavi simply chipped it over static defenders heads and he couldn't miss. He missed a couple of easy chances in that game too.
This year he hardly had to play incredible passes to beat Arsenal's defence, a few 5 yard passes and his team mates were clean through.

Like I said, good in his comfort zone but where was he when his team were up against it in the second leg, or against Barca, when you need performances from your "world class" players. Falling over his own feet with the ball bouncing off him.

Anyone who scores 60 goals in a single season is definitely overrated. I agree with OP. If Messi cannot score 80 goals in a single season and only scores 60 then he is overrated.

Bale isn't over-rated. It's just when a british player becomes really popular with the media, every jumps on the bandwagon that he's not very good.

Idiots.

Bale is Class

posted on 10/4/12

Bale is certainly overrated, especially by himself.

Bale IS overrated. Rooney is hyped by the media but I can still tell that he us a very good player.

Especially by himself?

You don't get Barca scouts on your tail for being overrated

Tell that to Sergio Bicuits. That guy is simply useless.

Something in common with Bale then
