Whilst wishing things to be as they say, and hoping that all will turn out well,an din fact whilst I will still offer my complete support to my club (not their's, yours and mine) my business nose says we are in deep trouble.
To be perfectly honest, since the board have taken over they haven't actually done anything wrong to the fans, They backed Mcleish with funds, yes maybe not the £40,000,000 but alot more than what the old owners gave us, they reduced ticket prices and Yeung goes to more home games from Hong Kong than the 10,000 empty seats from Birmingham.
We might not have the money that we all thought we had but I'm sure there is something in the bank otherwise we wouldn't be stupid enough to spend it and get European football. Yes, it worries me that we get bad press every week concerning finances and our owner is on bail but he is innocent until proven guilty. I am very happy with the board and they have backed up everything they've said so far. Until we can prove they're lying, skint and stupid I think we should get behind them.
Love you all and keep right on!

At last a bit of optimism well done that man
Still think we are in the brown stuff though

I think Yeung cannot expect every blues fan to believe what he says, after all their is something distinctly dodgey about the guy and although he is Innocent until proven guilty I very much doubt the HongKong authorities are going to turn around and say "Sorry everyone, this has just been one big mix up"
Just look how many times he keeps getting investigated here by the football authorities and abroad by the police!!
However
Worst case scenario Yeung is that Yeung gets thrown out of football and has to sell his shares, so someone else buys his 23%, worst case scenario for him is he gets 14 yrs in a dirty HK jail and gets butt fked by Chun-dong-big every so often.
On a totally serious note the club isnt in any danger what so ever IMO, unlike Yeung himself however it does give the club a slightly tarnished reputation.
WE do not need to panic,
The board have actually been a dcent board to date making funds available, the biggest problem has been the football by our ex manager, the proof will be how the board will react to our relegation and wether they will plough money into the club to get us straight back up.
Hope is not lost and I am still looking forward to the start of the season and seeing some decent football being played albeit in the championship.

I think the board have been pretty good so far; however, I have one big concern - I've not got a financial background so I'm not sure if it's a real issue or not?
If the holding Company were to require it, I assume they could in effect force BIH to provide them with any surplus funds? If so, and given that Grandtop seem to be in trouble, then that leaves us massively exposed.
I will maybe feel a little more relaxed when we start to invest some of the proceeds of sales in new players! I accept this is likely to be a small proportion of the fees received.
Nice sentiments from Yeung but if he goes down and has all his assets seized, he may have no means to back us...
Well you see guys, we have had to put up with the lack of communication and silence over matters, all they says over and over.
The club is in good hands, finances are fine and money is their.
While papers say we are doomed, and doomed and doomed all the time.
Funny enough the board seems to be able to get the cash to make things happen we spend like the 3rd/4th most last season GOOD GOING FOR A CLUB WHOS SKINT!
So maybe the silence etc is just how they do business how Chinese do business who knows.
Only time can tell really the next 6 months will be massive for this club.
I recon by Xmass we will know if we are FINE, if we will STRUGGLE or if we are TOTALLY "£$"£$"£$"
