I stopped bothering to watch Villa around November, its just too depressing seeing what has happened/ is happening to our club.

If we dont replace McLeish at the START of this summer and install a manager with integrity - then whatever talent we have will be cherry picked as soon as the transfer window opens....without Bent, Ireland, Clarke, Given - we will certainly be relegated next season

Errr... we did beat Blackburn on their own patch, 2-1 as I recall. 2-1 could have been the result yesterday, we owned the second half.

I too was appalled by the £40 tickets for away fans so my boys and I sat in the North Stand lower, row N, right behind the goal. I have to say that I have never experienced such a lack of atmosphere, save for a few months back when I went Oxford v Crewe with my brother in law who is a Crewe fan. Even my lads (12 & 15) commented there was no singing or banter, save for one harridan squawking "Sit down, shut up" when the Stoke fans started singing. Bearing in mind there was possibly only 1000 of them, they certainly made much more racket than the home fans. The only other voices we heard were whingers, especially directed at Gabby A., who I thought had quite a good game, but Collins was definitely Villa's MOTM.

Stephen Ireland would suit us well, perhaps he may jump ship in the summer. Can't see Villa threatening much next season without drastic surgery, so perhaps Ireland would like a couple of decent cup runs with us.

Best wishes to Petrov in his fight.

Look ECK didn't sell those players "Lerner" did and this is why O'Neill left because he seen what was coming and didn't what the backlash from the fans, the only thing eck is guilty of is being on a hiding to nothing.

And Eck has brought in six players of his own this season, spending £17m along the way. I repeat, the loss of two players is NO excuse for the brand of football seen at Villa Park.

6-8,000 missing fans and a complete lack of atmosphere at Villa Park will back me up. What have you got?

not much wrong with the six hes brought in TBH apart from one or two, Not every signing works out you should know that!
My guess is the ones who stay away are the one's who called for houllier's head. As for the recent results what more do you expect? wins every game when were down to the bare bones lol Lets face it people like you never do look at the big picture and to blame the man who came in on a hiding to nothing sums it up!

I completely with lionbrad, the negative football is so boring to watch, and we really should have scored 2/3 in the 1st half yesterday, but instead we took our 1-0 lead and sat back, inviting pressure.

Mcleish's signings havent impressed me at all, infact i think £10m for N'Zogbia is ridiculous! if you think back to when we signed Young, Milner and Downing for the same price.

also i have noticed WBA have REDUCED season ticket prices and quite frankly, they are playing better football than us at the minute, why dont AVFC take note and reduce the price of ours to draw back some crowds? £355 for an U21 in the upper holte is very expensive!

Eck Out!

villagregg

i bet you were one of the guys who was hoping villa signed N'Zogbia if you're honest? i know i was too and there were other clubs who would of had him, so please lets not pretend.
as for last-nights game stoke are a very physical and powerful team and under the circumstances i'll take a draw.

Give Charlie time and he will come good... He's not played the type of football he played under Wigan for us, but I blame him, and the manager for that. McLeish needs to unleash players like, N'Zogbia, make them attack and not sit back!- That way we may see the best out of him and the youngsters, who you have to give great credit to.

And, McLeish give Johnson a chance he is class!
