Although I quite like your writing style, I'd argue with a lot of your points. Balotelli has still scored a lot of goals for us this year, and he is not the reason we started dropping points - our away form was simply not good enough. Having said that, we have amassed more points so far this season than most leaders have in the history of the PL.

There is no reason that Balotelli should get the blame if we don't win the PL (which we probably won't) or that bringing him in disrupted our playing style - it didn't.

I'd also say, in terms of form, we are still second in the form table over the last ten games. We have not imploded, it is more a case of United just constantly winning. If you are comparing us to Newcastles capitulation, I'm fairly sure they were 11 points clear further into the season than we were when we were 7 points clear, weren't they?

Very true, but i was just trying to outline the similarities between the scenario's which you have to admit were present. But judging by the current scores, put this post up at the wrong time haven't i!

I'm hoping you have jinxed it!

To reiterate, though, I do really like your writing style, and I find that rare in sports blogs.

Welcome back to the title race City, looks like the derby could be the crucial decider after all.

Arab,

I'm happy Wigan won not counting the title race, I like Martinez a lot as a person and a manager. From what I hear, you guys weren't particularly on song tonight?

5 goal swing tonight and the manc derby at the Etihad...it aint over yet.

Looks like the race might be swung right back open.

Yeah I wanted them to stay up too mate, we looked clueless tonight and that's because of too much tinkering. We missed Scholesy and the defence was switched off, Wigan fully deserved it.

Just had a look at your board, you'd think you were in a relegation battle, not top of the league by 5 points the way some people are reacting!

Plastic plebs that's what, I'm frustrated that people actually thought this title might be wrapped up. We effed up the tactics tonight and Wigan bossed us, it's squeaky bum time as usual

Crikey, you're right. There's that many "calm down" threads, I thought I was on Liverpool's board.....

i did predict City to win 4-0 today it would have been a major shock if they hadn't won so good is their home record. I also predict a draw at Norwich.
Very typical United to lose tonight. They love to do it the hard way, I swear Sky pay them extra to keep it exciting.

MOTD made Johnny Evans look like a cart horse.

Ole's imternet connection must be down.

United were poor tonight no doubt about it. Before the derby its two away games for City and two at home for United. I would be disapointed if we don't go into the derby with a 7 point lead which means a draw would win it.

Norwich and Wolves away. I can see why you predict a draw at Norwich...

We've got a grat record at Carrow Road and Wolves are in freefall, anything less than 6 points then we deserve nothing out of this season.

9 points out of the last ten away games Boris suggests at least 2 dropped points.

and Norwich away is really hard, we didnt win until the 92nd minute.

ole was at the match because he goes and supports his team, unlike those who watch theirs on an internet stream in their bedroom. glad i occupy your thoughts so much though.

Wigan away, hope you had your jabs and took out some travel insurance. Good to see you came straight on the City board after your odessy, your absence was like a stain on a wall from where a picture used to hang.
