Hes almost certain to win his 3rd consecutive world player of the year title, i dont thinks its much of a debate. Ronaldo is his closest rival, but really messi beats him in all aspects; hes younger, hes already achieved more, hes simply better to watch. The only critisism of messi is his world cup performance but when you look at ronaldo for portugal he was even worse!

have you watched last year South Africa's World Cup mate? Then how did u say that Ronaldo has been worse? If we critically look at each and every game both Argentina and Portugal have played, we conclude that Ronaldo better.
Messi had good performances but couldnt score, ronaldos performances were just rubbish/pathetic/awful, he could barely make an impact in his games except against n korea.
Reputation is no longer needed be proven at World Cups. International football is at such a lower standard then Club football.
Messi is undesputably the best player on the planet.
