His reputation has definitely nosedived.......how could he do this to us? We sang his name to the tune of Give It Up for god's sake!

He was one of my favourite players but if he goes to City then he'll be hated even more than Cole and Adebayor was

I wonder how that conversation will go....

AW: Please stay Samir
SN: but why boss? I want to win trophies
AW: trophies are over-rated, would you not rather 'nearly' win trophies?
SN: can I have a pay-rise?
AW: I can't afford it
SN: are we selling cesc boss?
AW: ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....who told you that?
SN: its in all the papers boss
AW: its not true
SN: are you sure boss?
AW: no
phone rings.....

AF: hello, arsene, its sir alex
AW: hello alex, what can I do for you?
AF: can i have samir?
AW: no you can't
AF: please, i'll pay you 20m?
AW: pack your bags Samir

He WON'T go to city

He'll go to united

Surely nearly winning trophies is almost as good as winning them

If not better

I can't see the same love from the fans anyway. The 2nd place in the player of the year I feel has gone to his head and he thinks he's better than he actually is.

anyone negotiating a contract tries to get a payrise, be that a street sweeper or a footballer. all the rest is onthing but tabloid guff. he'll only go if we don't give him a payrise to put him remotely close to what he'd be earning at any other remotely top level side. I fail to see how anyone could begrudge him that.

...So a rise fro 50-60k a week to a reported 90K a week is not enough for the greedy Nasri. Where was Mancity before Arabs started puring money in. Football 's gone mad!

why is it greedy to expect to be paid somewhere close to what he'd earn elsewhere?

I don't understand why all footballers are so concerned with winning trophies. Isn't playing football enough for them? Wouldn't they rather play every week in a team that nearly wins trophies than warm the bench for a really successful team?

Why do we persist in alleging that it is money which is causing
departure of players.

It is down to poor management and a perceived lack of ambition at club.

Personally I am not concerned that Clichy leaves, because players like him are frankly two a penny.

However, the potential departure of both Fabregas and Nasri is
sending out all the wrong signals not just to the vultures in media
and other clubs who want nothing better than to see our club destabilised, but to other players who might want to come to the
club.

It is frankly the club philosophy, which needs to be addressed
very quickly. Kroenke needs to take a look at the rot which is
setting in, because it may not be just players who are leaving the
club, but quite a number of fans including myself who may feel
disposed not to renew their season tickets if they feel that they are getting poor value for money from an increasingly unambitious
and unsuccessful club.

I'm sure the board will be devestated to hear this news. Oh well, one of the 60,000 on the waiting list is sure to make up for you.

Some people support their club you know.... they give their love to the club unreservedly and for life.
