when we signed walcott, bale was an average left back, and we had lots of leftbacks.

He is certainly a much better footballer than Walcott, that is obvious.

the only reason bale looks like a better footballer is because so much of spurs' play goes through him. if walcott had as much of the ball at arsenal as bale does at spurs, walcott would have twice the goals and assists that bale does every season; because a. he'd have better footballers around him, and b. his movement is more intelligent than bale's.

because bale is a kick-and-rush player; he knocks the ball into space and chases after it. yesterday, bosingwa (who is considered a weak link in chelsea's team) kept bale quiet with nothing more than basic full-back marking. walcott has better close control, and he's intelligent enough to find those little gaps to run onto the ball.

walcott only has one less goal than bale this season, despite having roughly 30% less of the ball than chimp-boy.

Oh please, even as a Gooner it is obvious that Bale is much better than Walnut,

Finally an Arsenal fan admitting that Bale is miles better than Walcott.

Have 5 stars.

Bale is the better, more effective player but he isn't miles better the Walcott. To an extent you could argue Walcott has had the more sucsessful season.

They are both of similar age it will be interesting to see how they compare over the next few years.
