You can only blame Hoyle, Clark should have walked after that farse we endured at Old Trafford, sacking Clark when he did was stupid, and if he was still in charge, we'd probably be still in with a shout of the auto's !

hegginbottom was key..

something different..something to change what we do..no matter who plays at the moment its always the same..

lumping it up..often with no target and virtually always nowhere near the striker(s)

aligned to p clarks preference to defend the 6 yard box as often and for as long as he can(zulu defence tactic and basketball style) we have the worlds largest area of grass without a huddersfield town player on it...

we still surrender a large area of the pitch and wonder why we cant control any game for any length of time!!!!

our 2 "banks of 4" (as uttered by hansen/lawrenson and the other w-nkers on match of the day) is usually a 1 then an enormous gap to another 1 (wideman) a further gap to the other wideman(Trying to track back) and then another large gap back to a wavy line of 6 who stay in the line as they are being run at, followed 5 yards behind by "the warrior" playing all the f-cking runners, slipping through our line of defenders, onside!!!!!!! this formation rmains pretty similar even when we have cleared the ball and will stay like this till captain corageous moves his ars- up the pitch a bit.. we will then have 8/9 players all fairly close to each other with rhodes a hunderd miles away up the pitch with binoculars on waiting for the big lump in his general direction..

its sh-te and unless we change it we will have hard work getting into the play offs, scunny wont roll over, walsall may still be fighting for their lives and yeovil might actually try..

the play offs , im not even thinking about... like i said 3 draws and 2 penalty shoot out wins and we have reached the promised land.. I have a dream!!!

Clark should have gone after Old Trafford, I think we all agree to that (mirf aside).

The players brought in over the summer were signed to improve us this season, but they simply have not done that. I still cant work out why he got rid of Clark after the Transfer Window or why Higginbotham is not with us anymore.

grayson got arismendi in, thats why.. another midfielder who is very one dimensional.. heginbottom appeared to be a forward thinking player and neither clark nor grayson want to play with anymore than 2 of those on the pitch at any one time..

Clark brought him in, but dropped him understandably for a match as big as Sheff Utd at home where he went (foolishly) with a more one directional approach. I've no doubts that Clark would have used him more and would definitely not have allowed him to leave the club.

Now that we can't win auto promo, we need to concentrate on booking our spring bank holidays.....
Cos the play offs aren't going to be good to us....They'll just depress us even more....Get to the beach..

Cas,

Only an absolute buffoon would consider sacking a Manager who had just missed out on promotion at the last possible moment. I don't know, 87 points, 20 mins from promotion, a tremendous run of unbeaten games and you reckon he should have been fired.

As for sacking him early January you must be joking - what when we were only a couple of points behind third placed Wednesday and 7 behind leaders Charlton.

And to think it was only last week when YOU called me an absolute cretin. >

sacked after old trafford for purely football reasons..

he didnt get sacked for purely "on the field" reasons , there was certainly something else... as far as im aware and those at the club there isnt a civil suit for unfair dismissal coming..???

Its deans money and if he feels "let down or even betrayed" he can sack who he likes, when he likes as far as im concerened..I certainly would..

Its not about the football mirf, there was something else...
Its similar to the wendies situation..megson knows why he was sacked, the chairman also knows, the fans have been fed the "company speel", fortunately for wendies they have moved on well and nobody is asking too many questions, we on the other hand!!!!!!!!

Mirf, we started playing awful as early as November last season, and gradually got worse with results somehow going our way. There was no excuse for failing to gain promotion last season and as early as November (again) this season it was obvious that we weren't good enough, so he could have been fired earlier to allow a new manager some flexibility in the transfer market.

terrier..
i dont think he had done what the club "believed" he has done then...
He always though he was clearly too good for us and that he was destined for higher things.. It was probably one of his biggest failings..he passed that on to far too many average players..

i dont dislike grayson..i think he was overachieving at le-ds given the money spent by all the clubs that were above them when he was sacked.. the only thing at elland road that was "premiership" was the admission prices.. and possibly snodgrass and howson on a very good day..
i would have stayed "in house" for the last 16 games and let lillis take over.. mark would have got them going at the very least and would happily have taken the academy back at the end whichever way it went..
we needed to do what we had been doing to get 2-0 and 3-0 up in games and then just stick with it..not a change of direction and a full change of staff etc..
the mistake was deanos, not in sacking clark, i think he had a good reason(s) to do so but the taking on of grayson and his staff at that point in the season..

Bootsie

I genuinely dislike Grayson because of the jobe he's done at Town so far, nothing else - I don't care who he supports, he could have MOT as his ringtone for all I care. His tactics are very negative, he doesn't seem to grasp that Rhodes is ineffective without support, he continues to select the same players who have proven their hearts aren't in it, and he's been negative in his interviews from day one.

I just think you like A Good Moan Cas .. Its sometimes said a Man should not blame his Tool (and certainly I have no complaints with mine) .. But You Openly Admit at the beginning of your thread that in your opinion Grayson had been dealt a Bad Set Of Cards (Players) upon his arrival ..

How Longs he been here .. 6/8 WEEKS certainly Not months and yet you dislike him already .. DISLIKE is a strong word to manufacture about someone just weeks into his job .. True I sometimes form an opinion about a person ive just met based purely on appearance but hey if she's pretty ~ Well you don't look a gift horse in the mouth do you ..

Whilst not aksing what your occupation is & knowing there's a number of Leeds Fans in your family I'm surprised that you can
make such a brash statement ..

Wouldn't you at least expect your employer to give you more than a few weeks to show what your capable of .. Oh YES You would and as they say ..

Whats Good For The Goose Is Good For The Gander .. ..

Lu Lu asks for Clear The Air talks .. This is the man who goes round finding Fat Heads To Trump Upon .. Honestly I Crease at you guys ..

Saturday final too Hydy......... Yessssss

Yep but if you read, so is the league 2 one! They don't want us to go up, too many players on the pitch

If we finish 5th can you imagine the dire atmosphere down at the Galpharm for a 12:45 ko?

I've a mates wedding on Saturday 12th as well so I could really do with us finishing 6th instead!

posted on 16/4/12

They've changed it now, ignore that bo llox above. It did say Saturday too for the league two game.

terrier..sorry about the wedding, but saturday and tuesday are better for travelling anywhere than friday and monday..
Im thinking of getting home quickest after we make an ars- of it..

posted on 16/4/12

Well I'll be missing the wedding rather than missing the football but I'd just rather avoid the awkward phone call explaining why I'm putting a football match before his wedding.

I'd prefer to finish 6th to avoid that but if not 4th would do fine, make a proper day of the away leg and then the atmosphere would be better for the 2nd leg.
