hmmmm clear as mud this one
wipe the mud off ur eyes or on your glasses , then you can see the point otherwise all your gonna see is mud
I can only see mud as well?
I think both attacks are pretty equal although we may have the edge on the back up seamers.
back seamers for india are munaf patel and praveen kumar who have done very well in odi's
i dont think england has the edge in bench strength , more over one must know that bench strength wont take part in a match
I said back up seamers, not bench strength.
are munaf and praveen not back up seamers??
guess who really has got mud where it matters
are munaf and praveen not back up seamers??

I don't know. Will they or Sharma and Sreesanth start for India. Whoever does, Tremlett and Broad are better IMO.
Also, it's your figures that don't make sense, well to me anyway.
Of the two, I would definitely fancy the England attack - clearly better than that of India IMHO.
The two big differences are:
Swan is a good spin bowler; in comparison Harbhajan has been poor for years now.
If Zaheer is missing, the Indian bowling would suddenly become terribly weak; Anderson misses out, and the England bowling would still be passable.
However, my guess is that England too would be making the same mistake that most other teams make against India - prepare bowler friendly wickets in the belief that that will emphasise the superiority in the bowling. While in reality, such a wicket narrows the gap between the bowling attacks and increases the gap between the batting line ups.

Very well said Sir.
No matter how green or dust the track, India almost always outscores the opposition.
England's best bet is to prepare flat pitches, bat first, score 600 + in the first innings and hope for the best.
Sorry the data in the article was indeed as clear as mud only. But on the point of bowling indian bowlers are underestimated having to be overshadowed by more illustrious batting unit.
On lively pitches as in WI and SA they punched well above their weight.
well the stats are very easy to read for any person with average amount of intelligence,
even if england prepares flat pitches ,indian bowlers can reverse swing the ball and bhaj is better on flat pitches
on flat pitches u might see sehwag scoring 200 of 150 balls , like he alway does!!!

Do you not get bored of acting like such a child? It's only blooming cricket!
I'll make this easy for you... India is the best country in the world & their bowlers are much better than England's!!
Now, go & do your homework.
@u2836
some one seems to be jealous of indian cricket's growth
why dont contribute something substantial or noteworthy to the discussion instead of making your childish jibes
we are jealous of India.. A team thats only been ontop of test playing nation only a year and half. And have all the money they dictate to the icc..And tell an home nation like England they will decide what is used when it comes to using the Udrs..
I thought Phil Tufnell as a excellent point when he mentioned about Swann and Lbw's.that could be one of the reasons India are refusing udrs when it comes to Lbw's

The only thing that i am jealous of is my colleague who is eating chocolate cake next to me....
What is the point of debating with a silly Indian WUM who just talks rubbish about other teams & won't hear a bad word about the shiny Indians?
I'm sure most people would take England's attack over India's but let's just wait & see when the two teams meet

Hevent we seen it all in 2007 , 2009 and in the past???
I say, hats-off to porkas-sox-bigtime for even thinking to compare the two attacks. They don't stand anyway near to english bowling attack unless Ishant or Sreeshanth have an exceptional day where everything just goes their way.
Your bowling attack starts and finishes at Zaheer Khan, rest is all formality..
is it just like your bowling attack doeant even start and just finishes when sun shines, when the sun doesnt shine or even the pitches or spicy indians would be better as they are better skilled bowlers , they might not bowl fast but better in skill

Are we talking about the current attack or what? Come on, you're way out of your depth on this one boy

Would you mind comparing the two attacks head to head? ( i would just like to see your views)

"as the above figures would suggest ,english bowling attack average only '1' more than indian on the whole"
How do they suggest that?
According to your figures the total average of India's bowlers is 131.5 while England's is 121.4, so England's bowling attacks average is 10 runs lower overall than India's or, on average, 2.5 runs per bolwer lower.
Don't bother Hoggy, i think porkas is SCA's love child.
