Yeah I know RRP that was the point I've made before, harry was good then but not now we are pushing more consistently for 4th. And that's my worry with the likes of martinez that he may just not be good enough for us.

VDB

We just need to be realistic of who we can get, i would be very underwhelmed if we brought in Moyes

posted on 18/4/12

Sorry but people keep saying i am unrealistic and i'm living in a dream but if we make top 4 then Levy needs to bust his gut to get Jose Mourinho to the club. This would be the best and probably only time we could get Mourinho here. No other top club in the prem are looking for a manager and Mourinho is desperate to come back. I wouldn't be suprised if Mourinho is the next spurs manager IF we make the top 4, i praye we get Jose mourinho.....born winner and would perfectly fit in at spurs

Vanderbale,We were at one stage looking unbelievable in the league and i Honestly thought we would win the league,4 months down the line Its obvious something is wrong in the dressing room,And Redknapp has to stand up and take the blame.
------------------------------------------
Yeah I agree fully, we've proved we are a team that CAN push for the title so we need a manager that can do that for us again

RRP If not Martinez,Mancini would be another option if he goes.
Some fans think we should have a big name as we have had 1 run in the champions league.
The reason we may not get the big name is cause we don't pay the big wages,IMO VDV would not have joined us if we were not in The Champions league when he signed.

Am I the only one that wants Rodgers?

Don spot on mate.

Chronic I would love Jose mate,But that is not going to happen,Knowing our luck will finish 5th and AVB will end up next England manager.

------

Harry would get the chop anyway.

basically if we come outside top 4 then i say go with a young up and coming ambitious manager. martinez is a good example.. i dont like the word project, but if we come outside the top 4 then a rebuilding project is exactly what we will have. concentrate on youth and little known talent similar to what newcastle have brought in.

if we get inside top 4 then we should be able to attract a big boy manager

Sandros - Mancini is an interesting idea! Would take something special for him to leave City for us but interesting

vanderbale, I thought you would agree with me on the Jose thing

posted on 18/4/12

CHRONIC, this is what i'm saying, i'm basing my Jose Mourinho dream if we make the top 4. If not then god knows what manager we will get, Rogers probably

posted on 18/4/12

Don not to cause unrest but Jose would never join unless we had unlimited funds.

posted on 18/4/12

Damn right don

Also agree with chronic, top 4 we should push for Top Manager, outside of that we will have to accept someone like martinez.

Sandro, that's not the case mate. Mourinho in an interview a few years back picked spurs as one of the clubs he would like to manage one day. He is a football man and knows spurs are a great club with great history. iF the correct money was offered then there is no doubt mournho would be interested in spurs. If we make the top 4 just watch this space mate

Can you imagine the hard sell we would need to give to get Mourinho on board

Would be like selling a black cat to a Witch

posted on 18/4/12

So people are willing to entertain the idea of Martinez, but not Rodgers?

Mourinho had to start somewhere. Just like the level of players we can sign at the minute we have to be realistic or we'll end up looking like 'pool fans. We have to be looking at potential. Rodger's background and mentality would be well worth a gamble IMO.

Bales left foot, i don't want Rogers or Martinez but atleast Martinez has prem experience if we are going to compare the 2. Rogers has had a half decent season playing good football in midtable, please explain how this justifys him getting the spurs job mate?

posted on 18/4/12

Don i hope you right mate .
Id love to ask Harry some questions.

1st would be why when VdV is taken off is Modric aloud to take corners,He cant even clear the first post.

2nd Why does VdV take all free kicks despite not scoring one in 33 games plus.

3rd When VdV is taken off do we go 4-4-2 leaving our MF exposed.

4th Why has Modric not been dropped as he has been carp in the last 9 games.

5th If we take VDV of why do we look unbalanced.

Only if outside the top 4 though bales

Just on another note, does anyone know what sort of figure harry gets a year basic, and what Jose possibly gets???

Martinez has prem experience of a side that expects to be fighting for their lives every season, and they are.

Rodgers has been mentored by Mourinho - the Special One saw enough in him to promote him from youth team coach to reserve team boss. Everyone in the game is suggesting it's only a matter of time before he gets one of the top jobs. He's inherited the self-confidence and winning mentality from the master.

He's the kind of man that would turn us from pansies into men, while playing decent football. I'm not saying he'd guarantee us instant success but I think he'd cope with the pressure much better than Martinez. Hodgson at Liverpool is an example of how the pressure gets to managers who haven't dealt with expectation before.

Rodgers expects to win, this is what we need.

Check out this interview if you can..

bales left foot, i agree mate......martinez for me is NOT the one for us but i am just saying Rogers has no experience or any success to justify a position at a potential champions league club. I will check out your link though out of interest

posted on 18/4/12

Bale interesting link mate ,Rogers could very well do a good job for us,Martinez for me would be the man,I really want Jose

Me to sandro

posted on 18/4/12

Lol...all you need is a great week of results in football to get the Spurs job.

posted on 18/4/12

Don, sandro

I'm not saying I would want him above Mourinho or Hiddink (whose contract with Anzhi is up in the summer) but if we miss out on CL he'd be worth a gamble. Certainly a better long-term option than Martinez in my eyes
