Mate we can be dissapointed but the way some of you have acted on here all season is embarassing, you expect teams to roll over for us, saying we have an easy run in, this time of the season everyone drops points and there is more twists and turns to come,

----

are there? we cant even score two goals in a game..

when was the last time we kept a home clean sheet?

blackburn will come to the lane next week scrapping for their lives... i am looking at the game wondering if we can even win it?

be careful what u wish for, we will miss harry when he goes simple as that,

Sandrothebeast, you make a fair point about us having to have a moan in years before now. The days of Gary Doherty and Steffan Freund were frustrating, but you also have to bear in mind the expectation was never that high then. The team of the last 3 years has been so promising and we've been to the Champions League, then down to the Europa, and now possibly down to 6 place this season. As a Spurs fan it's extremely frustrating to see your team crumble after such promise, none of us wanna slip down to being a 6/7th place team after we have done so much lately to become a force. It's kinda like Cheryl Cole offering to perform a full strip and more, then putting on her clothes before she finishes and buggering off to Ashley Cole.

Many fans are just naturally angry now, it's unfair to call fans non real fans just because they are venting their frustration. End of the day, Spurs fans - whether armchair or season ticket holders - all love and support the same team.

Fair enough mate, so you think we had a difficult run in? Relative to other sides around us i'd say it was easy. Anyway. I suggest you voice your opinion on said articles rather than moaning about them. You'd certainly be appreciated more that way, unless you just want to moan.. in which case i'll leave you to it

posted on 22/4/12

teddy, i understand that mate, but surely u can see some people on here have only been fans for 5 mins and would moan even if we won the league but then the next year finished 2nd

posted on 22/4/12

no team has an easy run with 4 games left, it doesnt really matter who you play, the season we got 4th is a perfect example, we won games people wouldnt expect us to and people lose games they are not expected to, it happends every season at this time

posted on 22/4/12

So we're not allowed to moan about Spurs not having scored in 4 away games in a row because it's the end of the season? But you can moan about us for voicing our frustration...

The fact that the majority of people on here can see there's something wrong might mean you're not the only one with a valid opinion. Sunshine

sandro.. out of interest how old are you?

by the way you are speaking i would put you in the 30-45 bracket... just about old enough to remember us winning fa cups in the 80s and certainly 1991?

Perhaps he's a "5 min" fan like me, and can remember 3 generations of his clan sitting there gloomy faced in 1977 the day Spurs got relegated.

Must say I do think a huge influence on our season has been January and the defeat to City away. January weakened our squad dramatically. I know alot of the players who left had their critics but I was worried to see them go. For instance although occasionally he seemed to make sod all effort Pavlyuchenko got goals, quite alot of these vital if you look back at them. I would have had him on the bench 100% of the time compared to Saha.

I also think that the defeat to City altered the mindset of some of the players and staff. Although it now sounds ridiculous we were right in the title mix then but by losing the game those faint dreams ended and seemingly most people thought that was it for the league season as we had 3rd sewn up. Since then it has seemed like we are going through the motions somewhat with many players already on holiday.

Sandrothebeast I totally understand what you mean mate Some fans have only experienced Spurs for a few years whilst many of us (I've been a fan for 26 years) have been through many emotions. I can't stand fickle behaviour. But I understand why fans are angry at this point of time, I can't remember the last time when we've had such a poor run, even when we had much less talented players. The team we have are full of class players, arguably the best Spurs team I have have seen, so to play with such little passion and killer instinct is upsetting.

Spurs are not a top 4 team. Some of your believed the hype and through you were world beaters cos you had a decent half a season like Blackpool.

it was the game before that ! it was the wolves game !!!!

we had to win to go joint top. we drew it at home to wolves.. a very poor result... at that time we were so far clear in third that i think the players lost belief we could put in a title challenge.. and we were so far in 3rd that we started to coast alone...

what happened next week at city just compounded it.. but it was the wolves game that was the key.

37, i was there in 87 and 91, ive seen a few good times , was there at oldham think it was 92-93 when we had to win to stay up on a horrible weds nite, think david howells scored the winner! good times lol

Pav That, it's our dull, lacklustre performance against Stevenage Borough at their ground is when we started declining. We has beaten Newcastle United 5 0 the game before. After the Stevenage game we crumbled against Arsenal in the league. I think Saha is a quality addition to the team, personally I would have loved to keep Pav to have more attacking options. VDV is clearly a midfield man more than a forward.

8bit - If you compare first elevens when everyone is fit and on I will maintain that we have a better starting team. I said that early on in the season and I maintain that now. What we lack is the mentality.

yeah i knew it... from the way a spurs fan talks i can almost pinpoint their age...

i think that if you are from the that generation (about ten years older than many of the spurs fans on here, don being an example, me another, and rrp and quite a few others) then i think you have a completely different outlook on spurs and expectation.

i am 25... all through school was getting hammered by arsenal fans... then when arsenal died down chelsea came along, and the few chelsea fans who were about used to hammer me... and we have literally been sheit for my whole time supporting spurs apart from a couple of seasons now... so you start to believe things are changing.... so when we throw it away like we have done this season, it makes you question what exactly are our club made of?!

if you were around to see fa cup wins then you know that spurs are not just about mediocrity and bottling it... but if all you know about those days are stories you here, and a couple of videos about "the glory days " then the frustration grows and thats natural.

once again i dont think we are a club with any glory hunters.. as there is no glory... noone would turn their back on us... i certainly cant do it, no way... but its still SO FLIPPIN FRUSTRATING !!

if you were there u will know how good our "real" supporters are and yes harry does have his ways and makes mistakes but any 1 with a half a brain can see hes the best manager and assembled the best team since late 80s early 90s, people have short memorys, and we will miss him if he goes mark my words

Are you for real mate

I folowed Tottenham home away and europe for many yrs, just beacuse i dont have a season ticket does not me or anyone else a plastic glory hunter

If you think this collapse is Harry being the best manager we have had since the late 80s your deluded

Harry wants to go and has taken his mind off the job and does not care about you, me or anyone but himself

your team/squad has been better than us for about 6 years now apparently.

Fair enough Sandro, I think what we will all say is the fact that you look at our team and we have made the same mistakes we did last season. Its so obvious what is wrong with us, it is just bloody annoying that Harry seems to be useless in his inability to change it.

Part of me actually preferred it when we had no expectations at all

You do relise that the last 14 games of last season and last 9 games of this season is bottom 2 form ..

With the players we have and you think Harry is god

posted on 22/4/12

Depends who you talk to. When you have had the likes of Henry, Fabregas etc recently we have not had a stronger first team. Not by a long shot. I do however think now we have a stronger overall first team. Instead of laughing about that statement look back over the last nine months of Arsenal and Spurs fans comparing the two sides and most Arsenal fans over the period admit we have the stronger starting eleven when on form. As I have said we lack the mentality.

The OP is right.

Thanks Harry for not looking one bit interested for months now.

And thanks also the players who Spurs paid millions to assemble for not giving 100% for the club.

Anyone else we should be thanking for these wonderful experiences?
