What we all seem to be forgetting

Yes but that won't fix the problems we are having if one set of fans are to believe, it won't fix the tactical mistakes that Kenny has made throughout the season. If another set are to be believed, it won't fix the finishing problems our players have been having throughout the season.

Lucas needs a quality partner next to him...not Adam or Gerrard.

CM, that can dictate play and provide quality to the wingers & strikers on a consistent basis, is equally important as a lighting fast RW/RF and a pacey stiker that plays on the shoulder of the last defender

There is no way I am forgetting Lucas, everytime I have to watch that t urd Spearing play it reminds me how good Lucas is.

for one never thought i would ever have said this as I really didn't used to rate him but he has become the backbone of the team.

Some of our fans should consider this when they talk about Henderson and Carroll too.

Lucas was made a scapegoat for a coupel of years and he's grown into a very important player for us. We need to give Henderson and Carroll that same opportunity.

Sell Cole please.

Aqua - maybe. It depends if he's willing to stay with us.

No.

Lucas was an attacking midfielder and had to change his game completely to play defensive mid, he was from a different continent and didn't speak english and was 20 years old.

Carroll and Henderson are playing in the positions they played in at their old clubs, and have no problem with the language.

Completely different cases, these boys got it easy compared to Lucas.

Henderson has the same potential as Lucas did back then.

Carroll still has a alot to prove

Neon - That midfield would be a dream but sadly Gerrard should not be considered part of the first 11 anymore.

Stop with the Aqua talk.

I think a realistic option might be Siggurdson from Swansea. Taarabt is another player who coups bring some flair, and if it's a winger we need Matt Jarvis is a possibility.

We never saw Aquiliani or Cole play in a confident happy team.

Aquilani was not given a fair chance. He played in a team that was underperforming, unhappy, negative formation, long ball bypassing him and with average players - Poulsen, Ngog etc.

He is the type of player that needs strong players around him so he can have the confidence to use his style.

Please not Jarvis

He's worse than Downing. Would just be another Konchesky move.

Siggurdson is actually on loan from Hoffenheim (i think).

However, we need to add some flair to our team....and some players that dont need 3 seconds to think about their move.

I see your point Neon, but let me compare a minute:

Carroll - Aguero

6 months difference in age, cost roughly the same. Aguero has had to learn a new language and way of life and produces the goods week in week out, Carroll has moved a few miles down the motorway and produces once in a blue moon.

I'm not blaming the player, he didn't pay £35m for himself, the blame has to land at Kenny's feet.

People should really learn from the past! Lucas never looked like he would ever be decent but he's our backbone as you said. I don't get it with people slagging off our current players!!

Siggurdsson is a quality player, Football isnt about tricks neon

Taarabt is too hot and cold - not to mention tempermental.

We need efficient players

Scouseking

It's worth bearing in mind Agueros wages which are astronomical, and the fact he'll be off to Madrid given half a chance.

Siggurdsson is a gem

Aguero was never gonna come to us with City and other big clubs offering much much more in wages as well as champions league football!!

Hoilett is another realistic option. We won't be getting the likes of Muniain or Llorente.

Kenya - i wasn't suggesting he would. I'm just giving an example of how Kenny has spent his money and how people can say our lads are under too much pressure to produce because of their price tags, yet we have Aguero, only 6 months older than Carroll living in a different country with a new language adapting straight away!
