"Suarez and his agent, Pere Guardiola, brother of the Bayern Munich manager Pep, have worked on the understanding that a clause in the player’s contract states that Liverpool’s failure this season to secure Champions League football means any bid in excess of £40m from a club in the competition would require Liverpool to sell the player. They are mystified as to why Liverpool have rejected the Arsenal bid out of hand."
I'm sort of sick. So much for keeping all the fasts.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is likely to play limited games next season
Mourinho said: "I believe he is the same player, with the difference of, he is 35 and the time to recover from match to match is not the same for a man of 25 to a man of 35.
"The role doesn't have to change. What has to change is the way we analyse competition. Before we didn't analyse, before it was 'every match: he plays'.
"Sometimes I wanted to give him a rest in a Carling Cup match and he said 'if you give me a rest the next match I will not be the same, because I have to play every three days'.
"He can't play 60 matches like he did before, but the quality of the player and what he represents for the way I like to play football is exactly the same."
The fasts are going fast and easy
Lampard will make over 40 appearances next season. May not play week in week out but will be used a lot.
I'm not sure that clause actually exists. It seems like something the newpapers have made up. And if it does exist I'm not sure they've understood it properly.
I do find it strange how we've seemingly shown no interest in Suarez. Either we are waiting to see how things pan out with Arsenal or we don't want to risk tarnishing the club's image.
If we do decide to enter the bidding then you have to say we'd hav the advantage over Arsenal. Not only because we can offer more to the player but because we are less of a direct rival tocLiverpool than Arsenal.
Maybe it's because Rooney's our main target, so we're waiting to see what happens with the Rooney situation before we make a move on Suarez.
If we don't get Rooney then we'll go all out for Suarez. Don't see Suarez or Rooney moving clubs anytime soon. If anything does happen then it'll more then likely happen at the end of August.

Piazon: "If I go on loan I would like to play as a left-winger. I feel more comfortable there."
what's more important getting rid of Torres or bringing in a new striker?
Toulouse have accepted Cardiff €10m bid for Etienne Capoue.
Capoue has rejected the move apparently.
