A better striker would have made little difference. Our problem was not a lack of goals. It was a lack of experience and not being able to hold on to leads.
I personally thought it was having too many squad players but not enough key players/leaders. This is partially as a result of naively having so few options in the CM and CF position.
We would've won the league if two teams didn't finish ahead of us.
Mikel = Chalobah
Moses = Marin, Piazon, Thorgan Hazard
Ba = Lukaku
Apart from Ba and Lukaku, that's all a lie/exaggeration.
And if Piazon(hasn't reached 10 first team appearances anywhere yet), Chalobah(yet to play in the PL while Mikel was one of our best players in the CL final), little Hazard and Marin(for how much you lament Marin, Moses was far worse) weren't associate with Chelsea you wouldn't give them a second thought when comparing them with Mikel and Moses. Didn't even know who Zulte were until Thorgan joined them.
It will take at least €50m to lure Bale to the Bernebau.
£50m for Bale and he goes.
£58m for Bale.
£58m+Higuain for Bale.
€75m+Di Maria for Bale.
€95m for Bale.
€98m+Coentrao for Bal.
this is the progression since June. Laughable really.
That's old news. Spurs want £130 and Barcelona in a straight swap to send him to Madrid.

I bet before the window abuts the Mail run 'Spurs turn down ASTRONOMICAL €113m deal for Gareth Bale'
With no quotes.
It doesn't, as I said the inflation is media related, they keep taking their last price tag and stacking on a few more million... Between the last time he kicked a ball in the premier league and now his price tag has doubled, DOUBLED, and it's all b'ollocks - he's not going for £60, £70, £80m, why the fack would he?
The media, as usual, make no sense. Cavani was sold for £55m, right? But the whole time he had a release clause of £53m (58m EUR I think), so those two facts just don't add up. But nobody explained it, least of all the media.
ARGH. NEED FOOTBALL TO START.

Could have sworn the clause was either £53m or 58m EUR. Also the exchange rate makes me want to cry if that's true.
