Blink 182, Disclosure and Jake Bugg are to Headline Reading/Leeds Festival.
Shame, I was considering going but I hardly know anything by either of those 3.
probably going to t instead of leeds
CSTP - plus its impossible to listen to their previous works as they only ever played live and nobody ever recorded any sessions or shows.
Jake Bugg seems a one trick pony.
Also, you should be going to a festival with an open mind and looking to have fun. Not just for the headliners. More often than not the headliners are the latest hype or old bands doing a reunion.
The best stuff is in between on the smaller stages.

3 seasons. Will be done in about 5 hours. Unless my connection picks up.
RtM yeah to be fair loads of people I know went to Reading last year and most aren't even big fans of the bands that headlined or maybe even performed in general for that matter. I realised that everyone enjoyed it so much for the experience rather than the actual music. I guess if you want to see a band you like live then the best option is to go to one of their concerts separately anyway.
Still, would have been nice to see at least one band I really like headlining. Still an off chance I'll go if a fair share of my friends are also planning on it.
CSTP - Exactly. Plus at festivals all of the sets are shorter than at a concert primarily for the artist. You'd only be disappointed it werent longer.

Last year had Biffy Clyro plus Imagine Dragons as a good non-headliner
2012 had Foo Fighters, Kasabian as well as a few others
2011 had MUSE (I've watched this performance on youtube many times), the Strokes
basically I could go on even further. Every year there's always at least one band I'd go out of my way to see, but this year none of the headliners fit that bill. As you said it's only the headliners that have been announced. There might be good other bands performing.
