Gazza - #50000 (U1266)
---
Barcelona get what they want basically if you put it in other words
The only reason why I think they do is because the players that they go for once they see a club of that caliber come in for them they only want one thing. A move to Barcelona a la Fabregas, Sanchez, Mascherano all went for peanuts in my opinion

You don't earn anything other than a chance to win competitions on the field for being the best. Getting players on the cheap has nothing to do with earning it.
Well they should've got him last summer instead, while he was available and they were also in need of a CB then but chose not to
Time to pay the penalty, Luiz will become a Chelsea legend and the best in the business. He already has a special relationship with the fans
The fans have a special relationship with Luiz.*
Plus, if Barca only offer a small amount then we have no obligation to sell him for nothing
They've been in need of a CB for ages, now their lack of awareness should cost them!
JNR - yeah actually i agree with that..
We gave Luiz a 5 1/2 year contract when he joined
However I don't think Luiz is the type of player who will force the move. I'm fairly certain he'll stay.

I agree with Gazza on this one. If other clubs can do it using financial incentives, why can't Barca through their footballing success?
As an aside it does seem like €35m is the maximum Barca will pay for a player now. Fabregas was €40m (but with Fabregas paying €5m of it) and Sanchez was €25m rising to €35m with add ons.
-------------------------------------------
Barca are deliberately under-playing Sanchez so they dont have to pay the add-ons.
