So not Shaw?

Odd considering the deficiencies at LB and the strength at RB.

Maybe we are waiting on Shaw as he supposedly wants another season at Southampton, so Azpi at LB?

So the plan is : Buy a youngster given a chance, as against selling youngsters we never give a chance.

Clyne has been pretty solid for Southampton imo. Not as good as going forward as Shaw but is probably a bit better defensively.

We were linked with a 8M bid or something for Clyne last summer weren't we?

Clyne is good..but we have Wallace, Kane, Kalas and Omeruo can play RB.

Yep, Shaw makes much more sense, or any LB for that matter.

Suppose Mou might seen Cyne as a more all-rounded RB, especially since he's got some pace about him and does get forward well in attacks, he's probably also seen enough of Azpi at LB to want to have him there, so missing out on Shaw for the time being isn't a huge problem for another season or so if it came to it.

Kalas and Omeruo are both going to be better at CB imo, think Mou is looking to move away from the Ivan type RB (who's more solid but lacks that edge in attack). And from what we have seen from Wallace, he fits the bill of a fast, attacking RB, similar to Clyne.

Should have went overseas years ago instead of the like of Swansea/Watford.

Apparently Porto have re-signed their former star player

Permanently:

Delac, Hutchinson, Essien, McEachran, Mata, DeBruyne Moses, Torres, Eto'o, Ba

Loan:

Chalobah, Davila, Bamford - loada youthies basically.
