My head was in such a spin when we came to take the fifth one, I could not actually remember who we had agreed to take it. I turned to the centre-circle to see who was emerging with the ball and obviously Didier was that man and I just remember a calmness enveloping my body. If there was one man on the planet who I wanted to have hold of that ball at that point, it was him.

He's really got to teach Lukaku how to consistently move and make himself available. Lukaku's most annoying tendency for me is his habit to be static and not get involved until the ball is near the box. Costa to his credit constantly runs the channels and looks to make himself available even when miles from goal.

100% correct.....he is onl;y 23 so fingers crossed. Conte i imagine will make it clear to him before he signs what he needs to improve on and how much hard work he will have to do

to be honest, i have never been less excited about a high profile signing than this one...............I just my hopes are met and my fears forgotten

When you think about it we have had a massive load of change and disruption in key areas since the season ended.

Well the text has been leaked. Costa has given an interview about it to the Spanish press and the club have stayed silent.

That is verification in my books.

There is bound to be much more around it and the circumstances that led to Conte sending a text in the first place...........that will probably come out at the beginning of next season.
