Wow mate you still need to tone down how you talk to people on here
I'm happy to defend and discuss my viewpoint on this but not if you are going to insult me for holding it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I ridicule views worthy of ridicule.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah that's a very high horse you saddled up back there
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mate, you are the one telling an elite athlete how to respond to a boxing defeat. Assume you want to write up his training camp too?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I missed the part I have a direct line to AJ
to be fair Npe saying Joshua had tactical nous and intelligence vs Povetkin was hilarious enough he got hit and hurt loads and his nose busted, because once again their was no defense and he was flat footed, he was just lucky Povetkin completely gassed out after about 4 rounds and is about 40 these days
The Parker fight was good but it looked better than it was because Parker is slow and a plodder, so AJ could jab and sit back

As it happens I would happily write in I thought his reaction was weird if he was on some sort of live Q&A

Yeh people like intentionally taking punches and getting their noses busted, ffs Npe wisen up, Povetkin is about 40 years old he was hurting and troubling Joshua for 3-4 rounds threw everything then completely gassed out and then AJ had the chance to finish him which he did so fair play but there was no tactical nous about it
And no not accusing you of being a fanboy, you just seem to view things different to the rest of the world, which once again isn't a problem because it's your opinion which you are entitled too (Bit harsh to try and verbally abuse / talk down to Blarmy for having one though)
David price even nearly KO'ed Povetkin the fight before
On a lighter note, I do always find it quite funny you never really liked Mourinho though because you are both very similar in that you both have that kind of us against the world mentality and there's only one opinion and that's mine and if anyone disagrees fk them they're buffoons and deserve the reins of hell on them

Listening to AJ I think a small part of him is pretty happy he lost you can tell because now the hype will die down the pressure has come off a bit and everyone he himself knows he’s human and he can move on without the constant aura and pressure, can relax a bit more

Yeah there's definitely that. Might be beneficial for him in the long run. I don't think he's looked as happy over the last year or two as he was when he was climbing the mountain.
Having said that I think that the HW division could start taking a weird course. I said before that I don't think we'll ever see AJ and Wilder fight and this result only reaffirms that suspicion. Let's see what happens.
At least we're getting a a Wilder vs Fury rematch. Whoever wins that will be top of the HW mountain. Although give Ruiz credit he does hold most of the belts now. Just not the biggest one.
I imagine when Ruiz wins the rematch he'll fight Whyte next year that'll be a cracker

Get your tints off pal and watch a fight properly. Joshua explained his tactics pre fight vs Povetkin and delivered. Yes, Povetkin was excellent in first three rounds but Joshua clearly strategised to start cautiously and pepper the torso with body shots which duly winded Povetkin. He wanted him to gass out and contributed to it.
I also love how I am viewing something different to the rest of the world as an insult. Firstly its not true, Joshua got a lot of praise for the Povetkin fight from boxing commentators, and secondly it would be a sad world f everyone just agree with you. Or agreed with me for that matter.
David Price is a decent boxer btw. Not sure why you use that as some kind of trump card.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Joshua for me has always been suspect
His almost robotic persona in front of the camera doesn't sit right with me. Faux nice guy who believed his own hyoe
It was only a matter of time before he was shown up in the ring
Povetkin rocked him. Whyte rocked him and a finished Klitschko downed him. Eddie hearn has largely avoided big fights...as has the rest of the heavyweight division.
Last night however was a calamity from joshua. Gassed first round had a couple of times to finish Ruiz and failed. Something was not right with him even before the fight.
That hit to the temple hurt him bad but Joshua looked like he didn't want to be in the ring
I don't think Joshua will recover from this and I certainly don't see him coming back to any form of glory anytime soon. He's been found out now
