We’re still struggling for creativity in that final third though. You can see the inexperience of some of the players as soon as they get in the box, decision making is still not good. It’ll come though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you think we'll buy in January
---------------------------------------
We absolutely have to yes. We're so short of attacking options. In terms of wingers and strikers we only have Tammy, Mount, Pulisic, Willian, Cho and Bats who Lamps doesn't rate anyway.
Essentially that's just five players for our entire front line which isn't enough. Ok we have Loftus-Cheek to return but we don't even know if that will be this season.
I guess we want a Liverpool win

I also think this shows the weaknesses of the Kante and Kovacic pairing.
I have said this before but as good as Kante is, he does leave a lot of gaps to exploit. Particularly when we are pressing high, and teams are playing with a number 10.
They both need a player to sit behind them, or else they both get badly caught out of position.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I just think Kante is playing badly at the moment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think he has struggled always with this.
One of the best examples is this goal scored by Arsenal:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiMPNQYusjs&t=19s
Obviously, this can happen on a occasion to many players, but sometimes I think he is a little too nice, and doesn't play cynically enough.
Other occasions which stick out to me is our loss to Tottenham last year under Sari, where Kova and Kante went awol positionally.
Important for Tammy to score versus a big six club?
Frank: It will help him for sure. Tottenham last week he showed everything apart from the goals. I get the big six thing from the outside. As he develops he’ll do that even more. That’s the beauty of Tammy, he will never hide and constantly be in the box and get hungrier
Second to none, Frank. Second to none
I don't know any world class fullbacks apart from the Liverpool ones. But there must be a few out there that can cross the bloody ball
I hate the Jan window as well. And historically we haven't bought too many successful Chelsea players in it.
We do need some signings though. Whether that means the bare minimum this window and wait to splurge in the summer I'm not sure.
Lamptey was good. What's his contract situation?
Frank: We’ll see. He’s talking with the club and hopefully feels love that we parachuted him in. I’d seen him in training during my coaching badges. I saw him a lot in training and know he has a different dimension.
What did you think of the match Cmf?

Loved the energy Lamptey brought to the team.

Ask Jeeves
Learning about yourself during this run too?
Frank: I’m always questioning myself. That’s how I am anyway. I question everything. But you can’t dwell on it. It’s more about working closely with the staff.
Ake would be a tidy Jan signing. Can play CB or LB and if we can activate that buyback clause then even better as we wouldn't get shafted. He's still injured though at the moment isn't he.
Top tier players are unlikely to leave in January.
If we can get Zaha and Ake for a reasonable price, don't see why we shouldn't do the business.
Can still get the likes of Werner & Sancho in the summer
what position does Lamptey play for the academy
