I thought I could come up with a witty reply but couldnt. Disappointed in myself.
Busy on here last night dissecting our schooling...couldn't bring myself to bother, mind you I expected it, we probably all did
Gulf in class was evident, they are the German Liverpool, quick & clinical in all depts
Pointless us going to Munich with any hope of turning them over, time to give a few bench warmers some european experience...hopefully without letting them do a Spurs on us
Only highlight for us last night was Kova who looked every inch a CL player
Jorg was dreadful & ill disciplined as was Alonso
Kante would have improved us...to a degree, but we had so few chances, & those we did have were either wasted or not anticipated (Tammy)
(Some drills for Frank to instill in training this week it seems)
CL is over...we need to move on....
We need to focus on how much Bournemouth are weaker than us & ensure we see them off
If RLC is fit i'd start with him...or at least bring him on sometime...we've got to start finding the net with more conviction
There's a 5-0 in us waiting to come out...maybe this week

I just hope the club don’t do what they’ve done in the past and try to go cheap to get all the positions filled as quickly as possible, because the whole point is that those signings need to be of high quality. I would be happy if we filled even two of those positions this summer, ideally Sancho and a LB.
-----------------------
This is my fear as well Randy. I have a bad feeling that we're going to try to do things on the cheap this summer when instead we desperately need the club to seriously invest in some really top drawer signings across the pitch.
We're going to need a goalkeeper, a LB, a CM and striker at very least. Probably another CB and maybe another winger. Really we're looking at about five top drawer signings being required to add to Ziyech if we have realistic aspirations of being a CL side in future seasons.

So many injury problems this year. Used to hardly be a problem for us.
Feel like this is deserved after the Eva fiasco.
Jorg was dreadful & ill disciplined as was Alonso
Sheriff, I agree, i find it harder and harder to defend him against the people who dont like him. I feel a lot of what he does is overstated, and he loses it, puts people under pressure with poor passes, in defining moments and dangerous positions.
I understand what hes trying to do, but sometimes the knock on events of when he gets the ball deep are catastrophic almost as much as they are positive.
Not sure anyone noticed, but bayerns goals all seemed to come around just after he got booked needlessly lastnight and people lost their way a bit. Not good leadership.

Something like this would do for next season. RLC could push his way into the team if he gets back to full fitness. Then in the summer we fill the remaining gaps.
Nick have you noticed the little dangerous short passes Jorginho and Kovacic sometimes hit back and forward to each other when both are being marked/pressed? It really fecking winds me up so needless and dodgy and they do it literally anywhere on the pitch

yes 100%, it probably doesn't wind me up as much because kovacic can get himself out of danger and sometimes it sucks people in. What i do hate is when he gives it to a zouma or azpi when they are not expecting it with a cf breathing down their neck.
His passes a lot of the time are overhit and/or bobbly as well which is a poor trait.

Nah, there's everything to play for in the PL still, especially if 5th gets us a CL spot. Going into the CL next season with players like Ziyech, Loftus-Cheek and hopefully some more top signings will be a totally different kettle of fish to this one.
When Jorgi was on form early in the season our midfield was really working and he and Kova looked dominant as a pair.
Reality is though he hasn't played at that level for quite a while and his physical shortcomings means that he looks out of place against top class opposition.
Assuming Loftus-Cheek can come back to anything approaching the player he was of course. And assuming the club don't feck this summer transfer window up as well. We're surely long overdue a good transfer window.
How much would Edouard cost from Celtic then ? Not that we're even looking at him.
Willian on contract renewal talks ‘’Chelsea offered me 2 years, and they are not going to change what they offered. I said I wanted 3 years. The situation is difficult because of this, I really don’t know if it will be possible [to stay at the club]”

Shouldn't have even offered him 2 years.

Decent side, I don't think our CBs are good enough tbh. I don't think Kepa will be here either. Not sure that Alaba will leave Bayern. We're more likely to go with the overpriced Chilwell

Yeah Willy can go this summer along with Pedro. At least one of them should have left last summer anyway, probably Pedro. Time to start afresh with Puli, Ziyech, Cho and Mount if we don't bring in another wide player this summer.
