We should be finishing comfortably ahead of them but I think Spurs will be good next season and if we underperform/can't make the necessary signings then we may face a real fight for the top 4.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
spurs won't do jack with europa commitments
Should look to get 3rd next season and trying to bridge the gap on the top two.
Hope for a better CL run too and not be thrashed by one of the European giants.
I hope Lampard can get us playing the high intensity football next season on a more consistent basis. I'd like performances to improve also and not for us to be making the same errors that we have been all season.
If we're still shipping 50 odd goals and losing to garbage teams, I'll be very worried
Comfortable top four should be the aim.
To be honest, looking at prospective squads: presuming we buy Havertz, a LB and a GK, and United buy a RW, CB, and Matic backup, then the top four should a closed shop.
--------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I hear that.
This season was a free hit, too many disadvantages for an inexperienced manager to navigate. But if we sign Havertz combined with the rest of the attack we'll have there can't be any excuses (besides an outrageous injury crisis) if we don't finish 4th minimum.
I'm expecting City & Pool to pull away again, but depending on what United do (e.g. Sancho) we & them should be pulling away from 5th.
Plus, you can really see Spurs having a stinker, possibly finishing 7th-8th but winning the Europa & Mourinho hailing it as his greatest achievement, more than finishing 2nd with United

Top four with more defensive solidarity and some joy of watching us?

You guys really didn't need to discuss it for so long. I covered it here.
What do you guys think about this loser from the German league we're supposed to be signing. Kai Haller or whatever?
I thought there'd be more people here.
We should just bang in a 100m bid for sancho just to stop man poo getting him

shut up wahl i'll bite your nose off
as it goes maybe not as it been lodged in mourinho's ass for 10 years
All Chelsea fans used to be like me. Then Chelsea fired Mourinho and most of the sheep like you started hating him. It's sad but that's the way football fans are. They have no loyalty. It'll be the same when Fat Frank is fired.
Does Mourinho know about how you use to disrespect him?
you spent about 3 years hating on mourinho and saying what a bad manager he is
What are you talking about you weirdo?

So glad we have Di Matteo he is such a good manager and i hope he stays longer than Jose did. If a over rated manager like Mourinho can stay with us for that long then surely Di Matteo can be here for many years dudes.
