Tomori and AC injured? If not, I really don't get Lampard's thinking. Freezes players out then suddenly brings them back into the fold. Why?

Back to form in training? Possible I guess but I really don't like the way he seems to completely drop players and then brings them back out of nowhere. It's part of the reason we struggled to move on so many players this summer. Lampard had no clue which CBs he wanted to keep until it was too late to find the excess a suitable destination.

Nah, we struggled to move on players because of Covid.

And Lampard often picks players on how they have trrained.

Not sure that's true with our CBs or LBs. We chopped and changed with both positions right up until the last couple of weeks before the deadline. If Alonso/Emerson and Rudiger/Tomori knew they were surplus to requirements at the start of September then there's no way they would've stayed.

He's not going to get ahead of Pulisic, Havertz, Mount and Ziyech.

No longer in Carabao Cup either so only see bench performances from him or an FA Cup game

He did have a good spell to prove himself a decent alternative. not sure he took it.

Well he's not going to find out by sitting on the bench (or not on the bench for that matter). If he wants to develop then he needs to get as far away from Chelsea as possible.

He is definitely good enough. He needs chances and he needs to work hard. He clearly had ability.

Last time I checked Bayern were in for him...

He'd probably still be seeing significant bench time but I bet he'd be getting more minutes than he is here.

Well, they normally have their games wrspped up by HT.

Maybe he plays midweek in the CL, wouldn't look too much into it so early on

But seriously didn't expect Cho to start v United
