How so ? There are plenty of skilful and technically excellent players in football and there always have been. How does Sherwood saying that a certain player should play in a certain position make him a racist ? If he's wrong it just makes him a bad judge of a player, probably why he was a chit manager.

The racism is lazily assuming that any black player is only good for pace and power. Even though Ndombele is more of a technical player. His stamina for example isn’t good.

I agree that Sherwood is probably more dumb than racist.

How do you know he's assuming that though? You're just assuming that he's assuming it. That's a lot of assumptions.

I've never once associated black players with "only being good for pace and power". And I've never heard anyone say that in all my years following football. There's a big history of brilliant and incredibly skilful black players going back to the great Pele and the brilliant Eusebio. Just to mention a few and anyone that follows the game surely knows that.

Me too. Sherwood certainly doesn't come across as brains of Britain and he's a failed manager. Just because he played and managed in the PL it doesn't also mean that he might not be quite clueless in football matters.

Technically it still falls under racism, but it's such a buzzword now that it has been oversimplified to slander. In an ideal world you could call him out on it as an underlying racial bias without it going to such extremes

Racial bias is probably the best way to describe it.
Ndombele is not a Sissoko type of player. If he were white I don’t think Sherwood makes that comment.
