It was still apparent for me with Alonso the amount of potential dangerous counters he slowed, the amount of turnarounds he gave away under no pressure. Positives were his runs off the ball and he created two chances. But I’m kind of with RtM, it’s the bare minimum you’d expect a player in his position to do for those plays.

We are still a team that struggles to play at a consistent level for 90 minutes.

It seems our players don't react well when opposing teams step up during a game.

They never stepped up once yesterday...& we were still rubbish 2nd half

Although someone did post that we were useless against their press....(they never had a press)...I think at times this is something people see someone else write & just like to copy it because it sounds right

I said yesterday regarding alonso that even if he scored 20 goals till season end it would be a smokescreen, the guy is not the future for us.

I don’t think chillwell has been as bad as others. In fact I think his issue seems to be playing well for 90 minutes. But I will go with the consensus. He’s certainly dropped off from early form

Reasons for not playing Chilwell if he's been decent? Might not be at intuitive utilizing space and interchanging with Werner?

I do think Southampton will be a really good test - not because they have more quality than previous opponents, but their energy and intensity will be a challenge. I expect a reaction from them following their recent run of form and we have habit of gifting teams a new lease of life.

Looked excellent early doors this term...but then he replaced Alonso & Emerson...so he would

He's quick, decent feet, good cross, has a goal in him...should be featuring again soon you'd think

He did get an injury didn’t he towards end of franks time. And seems to be struggling for fitness. His form also dropped and looks like tuchel has brought back azpi, alonso, jorgino and giroud. More experienced players. Into the fold.

Agree with Nick on the Cho to Kova part. There was a wall in front of Kova when the ball got to him. Cho just went chicken shlt there. It was Cho, the keeper and the goal from what I remember. Doesnt matter who the player he passed to was. He should've shot.

Think he was forcing Kante back in over him. Didn't matter who was in mid tho. They were never going to excel under him. Midfield was a huge blind spot for Frank. Sometimes it seems like we avoided it at all costs.
