RJ Kante Jorgi Kova Chilwell
Lukaku Werner

Though I do expect Chilwell to start tomorrow and Alonso to start vs City considering Tuchel's selections so far.


And therefore for Villa tomorrow, I'd want to see Azpi, Chalobah, Saul, Ziyech, Havertz, RLC, and maybe even Barkley play some role.

Oh I didn’t realise TLLL wants Azpi to start against Villa instead of James. Azpi has played like every game so far, including the demanding wingback position. Madness.

League Cup might be a good time to experiment with a back 4

It does boggle my mind a bit that Tuchel's essentially used one system with one alteration occasionally since he's come. The bloke who we've got wasn't the one who was advertised, not that I'm complaining

Completely forgot about RLC and Ross. Not keen to start Jorginho again with that in mind, given he’ll probably start against City and has started recent games. There’s no point burning out your starters in the league cup.

I started viewing the League Cup differently when Mourinho took it more seriously than Ferguson or Wenger ever did. Also like the way it ends before the end of the season so you don't get the distraction of a cup final if you have a title or top 4 decider on the final day.

I'd like to win it. I'd love Tuchel to beat Pep (again) and cut off this streak he has in it too

Sarr an interesting option as he's left footed, and perhaps the only deputy we have for Rudiger's position.

If Sarr doesn't start then I'd like to see Chalobah at LCB, as if he can perform there would allow us to rotate Rudi and also give Trev more minutes.
