Statement from Hyundai, Chelsea's shirt sleeve sponsor: “Hyundai has become one of the strongest partners in football over the years & the company supports the sport to be a force for good. We are currently assessing the situation with Chelsea FC.” Deal reportedly worth £10m a yr

I don't get this with the sponsors. We're not a Russian club. We represent England and are English to the bone. It's such a ridiculous overreaction.

seems a bit kneejerk

Once we are taken over they'll be tripping over themselves to sponsor us

I much prefer the prospect of Nick Candy although I fear we're going to end up with these Boehly and Wyss drips

It's totally disproportionate. I can't see this type of overreaction being allowed at Utd or Liverpool if they had a Russian owner. It's open season on us though as usual.

A consortium lead by Todd Boehly and Hanjsborg Wyss are believed to have made a bid for Chelsea two days ago. Currently waiting for clarification on sanctions/UK Government to see what the next steps are.

The choice between the club possibly ceasing to exist and being owned by a guy named Todd is a tough one.

Unsure how relevant this is, but Todd Boehly, who is interested in buying Chelsea as part of a consortium, has agreed to sell his investment shop (CBAM Partners) for $782.7m

#Chelsea have been told that a deal to sell the Club must be agreed before the licence runs out on May 31 to guarantee the survival of club. The license that allows the Club to play remainder of season won't be renewed unless Roman Abramovich agrees a sale.

If only the government weren’t total morons who clearly don’t realise the actual effects of what they’re doing to the non-Abramovich parts of the club.

But hey who cares, as long as they get to keep up their performative concern for Ukraine while at the same time watching all that lovely Russian oil flowing in. They’re definitely not two faced hypocritical c’nts fronted by a fat goofy looking dk head.

Why does it feel like Chelsea Football Club are being made scapegoats for a war happening in a different country that has nothing to do with us?

Our owner is ridiculously wealthy and he's Russian but unless there's something solid linking him to this war and to Putin's actions then I don't see how it can be said that we're bring treated fairly.

There’s no way anyone can say the club is being treated fairly when City and Newcastle’s owners are chilling in the background likely with severed human heads mounted on their walls

Regular people were buying stakes in that company when the prices dropped, Sky called it "opportunistic" for people to do so when they were reporting live

Very true. Chelsea fans need to make themselves heard more online and on social media in protest otherwise there might not be much of a club left next season.
