1 step forward, 3 steps back after the arsenal performance. First half was good but no end product (how often have we said that in the past 2 years). Completely new team, but still feels life groundhog day.
Two big problems with us atm - injuries/absences (impossible to fulfill our potential if players are never available); and Poch's obsession with CBs at fullback. We struggle as it is attacking wise - our forwards need as much help as they can get. The only positive right now is that this team is struggling but it's capable of so much more. It's just questionable whether we'll ever see that realised...

We deserve exactly what we get for getting a failure Spurs manager in
-------------------------------------------------
Nah Poch was the right choice. If it doesn't work it doesn't work but the appointment made sense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Could you elaborate on that at all...
-----------------------------------------------------------
Owners are filling the team with young players at the expense of logical squad balancing + after Potter needed someone with big club credibility. Given these perimeters the only two realistic choices were Pochettino & Nagelsmann & the latter was being a shifty c*nt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spot on and precisely why it makes little sense to get too affected by results at this stage.
What's a good time to get affected by results then...?
Christmas...
Bearing in mind also that we are unaffected by European responsibilities this term- I'm getting concerned already... Sorry about that
The next thing will be we'll get to January the window will open we won't buy Toney...then we'll get knocked out to the FA Cup early by some dross side... And then what
And obviously James and chilwell will be re-injured by then too

Progress is being under Poch. Not his fault our owners played Scrooge when buying a goalkeeper and centre forward after overpaying in other areas.

Iike Mendy, he got away with it for a while, but itvwas always going to catch him in the end.
Yeah no howlers today thankfully

Frankly anything less and they have no right being owners of our football club
We should also be aiming to redevelop Stamford bridge properly

Nope, advocating us hiring a manager that benefits the direction the owners want to go in. If it was up to me that direction would've been different & Pochettino wouldn't have been a good fit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So clarify to me the direction Poch is currently taking...because he's going up dead ends most weeks
-----------------------------------------------------
The Spurs team he built up was very young after the 1st year & it grew into a very good team, that's what the owners will be thinking. Same with Nagelsmann at Hoffenheim & Leipzig.
If it was up to me the project wouldn't be lets play an FM beta save in real life hoovering up wonderkids on cheat contracts. Would've been very more simple & Tuchel would've probably still been our manager.

Hmm, fair enough, my own interpretation is that given they have spent so much money on so many young and unproven players who have unknown potential that their strategy is only about the long term and that results and trophies take a back seat in the short term.

Also I haven’t blamed poch for a lot this year. Compared to potter and certainly lampard.
But so far
Chillwell at left wing
Disasi today at rb with James and gusto on the bench
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I said it yesterday he will go with 3 CBs. We have a midget squad so he’s putting in an extra CB in one of the FB areas to make up for it.
Also said they were a proper hoofball team. Awful to play against. Long throws, GK taking FK from the half way line……
When James and Maatsen went to fullback it was probably worse.
Didn't make the first half count, most teams would be leading 2-0 at HT.
But our players are toothless in front of goal so when we go a goal behind it feels like game over.
Worrying thing is us dumb dumbs on a football forum can guess more or less everything that will happen - yet several coaches who get paid millions of pounds can't seem to tell their elbow from their asses when it comes to CFC
