Cucurella has been absolutely outstanding this tournament
Player of the tournament for me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Brilliant in possession. New manager gonna love him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah will suit Maresca Ball very well..
Think I meant to say bonne nuit 🖐️
Well that's one of two most boring teams out of the semifinals
Fully deserved
France have been woeful
One of the best half’s of football followed by one of the worst half’s of football in this tournament.
Spain are still a bit leaky goal wise. Feel like our game with them would be a 2-1 either way
Spain Holland would be something crazy like a 5+ goal thriller
Yeah massive disappointment France. Utter crap throughout most of the tourno. Mbappe was awful.
Morata is the footballing version of Mike Brearly
Kane ain’t much better tho to be fair

He just keeps possession. Doesn’t get flustered, which strangely he did all the time for Chelsea early on. He couldn’t pass straight at all. But now he’s back to his old Brighton self - even in the face of the German boo boys

It's so funny watching him in this team. He's not even dreadful, he's just kind of there, totally interchangeable
Costa would've looked quite nice in this team, would suit it as it's captain. They're quite dirty.
I don’t know how many of you have been watching this in the US, but I was blown away by how interesting and eloquent Chiellini was as a commentator. He spoke better English than Daniel Sturridge,
Ironic then as his most iconic quote is in butchered English, "dis the history of the Tottingham"

--------------------------------------------------------------------- the reason he doesn’t get it flustered is cos he passes it back under no pressure to someone who’s under pressure. That person then has to sh!t miracles or loses possession. He was awful tonight. God awful. All over the shop defensively too.
Made massive strides for Chelsea back end of season. But tonight he was woeful.

I think we watched a different game, Nick. I thought he was excellent - always available for a pass, constant motion, never lost the ball. He didn’t bomb down the wing and get crosses into the box - that’s true. But I don’t think that’s his role for Spain. And I thought he was very solid defensively.

Last night was his worst game at the Euros, imo, and he still wasn't anywhere remotely as bad as Nick's trying to suggest.
It was pretty clear that France had singled out that flank as the area where they'd apply the most pressure and they really congested that space. Spain's response seemed to be to flood the area too, in order I suppose to minimise the chances of loose balls falling to the wrong colour shirts. Morata, Fabián, and Laporte all moved across quite frequently in support, even Rodri at time too iirc. It's obvious that having to play out of that pressure with so many bodies in such tight spaces is going to produce some wayward balls. Under the circumstances I don't think Cucurella didn't to at all badly.
He did play in the first half as if he was somewhat fazed by all that cantish booing from the German fans -really poor from them, I thought- but he still managed to hold it together.
Didn't really carry an attacking threat, but for the most part he kept it sensible in circumstances where Spain spent almost the entire second half focused on holding on to their lead.
Our LB’s have a history of getting booed. Welcome to the the club Cucurella.

I thought that was quite embarrassing from the German fans, I thought better of them. Sour Krauts.
If they had held on for another minute in extra time against Spain then it would have gone to pens and Germany haven't lost a shootout since 1976. So more fool them. Mugs.
Yeah, I think the German fans came out of that looking really bad. Horrible sportsmanship, and poor losers.

yet was the second lowest rated spain player last night. And offered nothing. Listen he's been good this euros. But france basically let him have the ball as they knew he'd pass it back every time.

Morata 7
Navas 7
Simon 7.1
Rodri 7.2 / Cucurella 7.2
But yeh 2nd lowest rated do you ever stop talking BS?
Not Cucurella's biggest fan but can't deny his resurgence in form at the back end of last season and now his performances for Spain.
I'm guessing he'll be in Maresca's plans, if not then it'll be a good time to sell as his stock is relatively high.
