Disgraceful 2nd half. Only 2 goals
posted 21 hours, 1 minute ago
Took Enzo off at half time, gotta be because he's in contention to play
Wonder what summer will look like in terms of CBs. Shipping out Disasi and Badiashille would be my first order of business

Nice to get such a big win. Could've (should've) been more but it'll definitely boost the confidence levels a bit in any case
posted 20 hours, 58 minutes ago
Based on reports, Badiashile is here to stay. The club have high hopes for him apparently.
Need a partner for Colwill, an experienced/leader type ideally.

Set pieces a big plus. hopefully means we're finally going to reap the benefits of the new coach.

Hope that was just empty posturing to keep his sale price somewhat reasonable. Think we'd need a bit more than £30m to keep the hit net FFP positive

Colwill is good but still improving. The rest are backups at best, Disasi looked poor on the ball even against this rubbish team.

Desperately need a bit of a baller CB, someone good with their feet and a calm head. Most our CBs look like deer in head lights under any sort of pressure, and have the form of a flamingo when it comes to kicking a ball

Really? We're awful from set pieces, hopeless at defending them and rarely look like scoring from them.
The ones today are goals from CBs who are not regular starters.
I think we've got quite a short team, which could be a problem v Arsenal on Sunday

We had Veiga, Tosin, Badi and Diasi in the box. It’s a big difference compared to having Colwill and Fofana.

If Palmer is injured (praying he's fit by Sunday), you'd imagine it's either Enzo or Felix at no10
posted 20 hours, 14 minutes ago
Felix played the full 90, my guess it'll be Enzo if Palmer doesn't make it.
Maresca wants control and that slower build up, so playing Enzo in the midfield against a strong Arsenal team is probably the way he goes
posted 20 hours, 5 minutes ago
I think we've looked completely ineffectual from corners all season. Today got a shot from every single one, and two goals. Obviously Arsenal are way better, but it's nice that some things are starting to come off.

Neither Tosin nor Disasi had to so much as jump for their goals. I don’t think today was a sign of us mastering set-pieces. And watching Arsenal’s game yesterday against Inter, even though they lost they looked like they would score from every corner - they are really good in the air.

This excerpt from Hugo Lloris' autobiography is the most Tottenham thing I have ever read!
"Four days before the [Champions League] final, Daniel Levy called us all together to announce that, with the support of a sponsor, we would each receive a luxury aviator watch from the club. At first, we were excited to see the elegant boxes. Then we opened them and discovered that he’d had the back of each timepiece engraved with the player’s name and “Champions League Finalist 2019”. “Finalist.” Who does such a thing at a moment like this? I still haven’t got over it, and I’m not alone. If we’d won, he wouldn’t have asked for the watches back to have “Winner” engraved instead."

Enzo has been totally ineffective whenever he's played as a 10 or a variation of the role. I really don't get why anyone would want to play him there, especially not against Arsenal of all teams. Do we want to score a goal against them ?
It's basically inviting us to struggle in front of goal. Nkunku should play at 10 in the absence of Palmer, it's surely the obvious call.
posted 8 hours, 22 minutes ago
yeah enzo hasnt deserved to start. The gallagher sale looking sillier by the week.
posted 8 hours, 19 minutes ago
The only possible justification for playing Enzo is if we're essentially intending to park the bus in midfield (for want of a better term) where we'll play 3 CM's as well as Gusto or Cucu inverted and try to stifle them in midfield.
I wouldn't want us to play that way and I don't think Maresca would either tbf.

I assume it's more of a 4-3-3 if Enzo plays.

would be a very boring game as arsenal are pretty much that way inclined, even more so with odegaards injury. They basically just go long to saka atm

Only think Enzo will play because he was taken off at half time yesterday
