Will be disappointed in Potter if he joins West Ham. You stay out the game for 2yrs & that boring job is what brings you back? Lame

Well he's hardly Mr Personality, is he?
Good job for him, they've got a decent squad that's not being maximised imo.

Interesting job for Potter, he'll certainly be under the microscope a bit at West Ham which is something he didn't seem to thrive under at Chelsea.
Kinda thought he might have taken a bit more of a low key PL job to rebuild after the disaster he experienced here.

I got in my head the idea his next job would be something bonkers & hipstery. Something like Union Berlin (random example). A job that made me go WTF!
Instead not even leaving London

It is a good job, he's just disappointed my wild expectations.

I thought he was going to be England's next manager, felt like a good fit for the FA.
I think he was favourite to take over from Dyche as Everton got new owners but he's taken a job with new owners before so probably thought he's better off out of it lol.

I imagine Potter was hoping for a higher ranked club but him sheiting the bed at Chelsea meant England and United weren't interested.

Lols. I was thinking Bournemouth or somewhere like that. The London clubs are under a bit more scrutiny so he probably needs to get off to a good start otherwise it could start getting a bit rabbit in the headlights for him like he became at Chelsea.

In fairness to Potter he was here for that brutal first year under Clearlake when Boehly had appointed himself DOF for some insane reason and everything was in disarray including our transfers. We also had about a million players in the squad so it was the worst possible time for any manager to be in charge of us.
At the same time Potter didn't seem to handle the spotlight and pressure well under those difficult circumstances so I'm intrigued to know how good a manager he really is as it's so difficult to properly judge him on his time here. Fascinated to see how he does in his next role as it will tell us quite a lot about his time here.
