JNR - Not really. He wants a move away but he's being pretty selective on where he wants to go. Ajax probably just want a quick sale now since they know he wants to leave. When he first said it he also said he was happy to stay at Ajax (which give them more freedom to demand a bigger fee) now he just wants out.

€40mil does not seem true. It will be more like €35mil.

And what are the tax rates for high earners again?

We might hear something tomorrow on Hazard. Hopefully reports are true. I won't be overly disappointed if he dosen't sign. But he'll add a lot to the team imo.

Gazza I would love that.

I'm not too convinced by these rumours as Hazard has already said there will be no further negotiations over the offers he has received, he just has to make him mind up. So why are they saying he is close to agreeing a deal - suggesting that negotiations are still ongoing?

JNR - If he's agreed personal terms which is what was being said then these may be the terms (5 year deal, wages etc). The papers will report on that if he has chosen Chelsea. So since he hasn't actually signed with anyone, it would make sense (that if true) that he is close to signing a 5 year deal worth such and such.

Isn't there like a way around how wages are paid so that taxes (and club expenses) can be avoided? Like setting up a 'sponser' company that essentially pays them their wages.

*Hazard, Azpilicueta, Hulk and hopefully a CM.

VDW is a terrible defender

I'd of thought the offers would've included wages and all that stuff.

JNR - They would have. But what i mean is, since he hasn't agreed to join any one club yet, the papers will report that he is close to signing with one of them for such and such as those could be the terms he had agreed to earlier.

Seems to suggest Pep may not necessarily take a whole year out of football. I think if we can convince him that the working environment is less pressured and give him a high salary etc. then he may decide to join us.

Romeu and perhaps Piazon, but no way McEachran and Chalobah.

I'm actually really excited for the Euros

I think Holland will flop, they're nowhere near as good as they were 2/4 years ago. Germany and Spain are miles ahead of everyone else. In fact if both teams put out their young players they'd still be better than every other team.

Bertrand signed a 4 year deal last season i think. So it'll probably just be a 1/2 year extension.
