I used 09-10 stats when Valencia was playing a lot of games and Nani should play on the right side. Don't give me this rubbish about defending and blar blar. It was Nani who was our most important player in attack who put us at the top of the league and his own team mates stressed this. Whether you want to disagree with the majority of his Utd team mates is up to you. However, they play with him and stressed he was the one who picked up Utd when we needed it most.

My last memory of Valencia is him getting a 3 out of 10 against Barca and looking so out of depth it was unreal. He was rated as the worst player on the pitch and some have stressed he put in one of the worst ever CL performances and should have had a red card. He only put in one cross and that went over the bar and all he did in that game was hack Messi and get out of pos. He did not even beat his marker and was so bad he had to go to right back. When Nani came on he actually had a shot and went past Abidal and moved on play.

Hahaha oh sorry thats right defending is such a pointless part of football

Yes Valencia did have a poor final i'm not denying that but over the years Nani has been at United he was never always as good as he was this season! I remember a few years ago people used to groan when he's name was read over the tannoy!

If Nani stays then he should be on the right and Young should be on the left. This means we are more versatile and dangerous. I am sorry but in top football there is no room for static players. Just look at Barca, there 3 forwards where everywhere, right left and centre. Valencia can play well Right wing, Right mid, Right back? With Nani and Young and Rooney, they can all play Right, Left and center. Those 2 wingers are also far more productive than Valencia. I would use Valencia like we use Park and limit his game time.

Nani was very young at 21 then. Now everything has all changed and he is now a Portugal regular with 46 apps and plays every game and most of the time he is one of 2 star performers. That being him and Ronaldo and regularly gets standing ovations. People remember Nani of 08/09 too much and this is another reason why I want him to leave. I would be happy if he went Inter.

Valencia would make a excellent squad player and would not make much noise about that. He is too limited to start every game.

I dont understand it either, why would you want Nani to go to Italy if you think he is that great?

Because I enjoy watching good technical players, whether it is at Utd or not. Players like Nani who are very productive and entertaining don't deserve to sit on the bench for limited players. I would love him to play for Inter and I know he would start every game there and show how good he really is when the fans etc believe in him. When he plays for Portugal he is like a new player.

But he's talent would be wasted in Italy he would find it too easy! Wingers are not needed in Italy..if he were to go anywhere he would have to go to Spain so he could be challenged on a weekly basis

Barca and Madrid have better world class wingers/ forwards so he can't go there. Italy is the best option.

So why not go to Athletico Madrid or Valencia? Italy is the worst option! He'd be better of going to Germany if you dont think he'd go to Spain. They play similiar football to us and its more competitive that Serie A and a lot more open than La Liga

Athletico or Valencia? I am sorry but Nani wants to win things. Yes Bayern would also be a good option as well.

Well, at least in four games out of 38. Unless of course he goes to Real or Barca.

Gooner in peace.

Last season showed truly how good a manager SAF is, as you guys won the league with a seriously average (by your standards) team.

Barca are the gold standard at the moment. SAF talked about closing the gap on them after the CL final. Whilst good players, the ones you have recruited thus far in the transfer window will not do that.

They may and probably will (although expect a tougher challenge from Chelsea next season) be good enough to win the PL but they are light years away from Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and even your old boy, Ronaldo. Go out there and get Modric (please leave Nasri alone) or Sneijder and then you will be making some headway.
