Lampard, one indirect assist, one direct assist, defended superbly in both legs. He deserves to lead the team out in Munich

preach.
united scholes winner, liverpool, chelsea, arsenal at home, etc have all got the better of barca.
barca were more of a threat when their front 3 was:
..................Etoo............
Ronaldinho.........Messi/Guily
they still did their tippytappying but were able to mix it up.
Plan A? Plan B? what a lot of rubbish, its people kicking a ball about a field trying to put it in the net, we are not talking about the most invincible team in the world, just the best team in the world, which they are.

they are arguably the best starting 11 in the world.
they are not the best team in the world, as the team includes the squad, and real madrid have a far superior squad.
I'm 42 years old, and this current Barcalona side are the best team I've ever seen. They pass the ball better than any team in history, and have amazing work rate to win the ball back. Just because they came unstuck against a hard working , well organised Chelsea team doesn't make them over-rated. All great teams have off days. They have won the Champions League 3 times in the past 6 years to prove their greatness.
I believe the barcelona trophey cabinet has seen more action than madrids in recent years

so thats why john terry left the pitch early last night
Have to agree with you 100% Monkey. In all fairness taking away my nerves of the competition I was saying exactly that from about 70minutes and felt we could have gone all night and they may have only managed 1 more goal at best. Was quite funny as i thought they have no Plan B and automatically thought about the carpy band!

if ferguson had adopted the tactics of their semi final meeting in the last 2 finals with them, and hadnt started giggs in a midfield 2 last season, barcas cabinet would be so blingy.
i am talking ifs and buts and history but i take your point. however, this barca side have been found out. until they sign an eto or get villa fit i disagree that they are superior to madrid.
there is no correct opinion. unless your name is tony montana who tells the truth even when he lies :S
If I was offered the possibility before a Champions League semifinal of my opponents having probably not more than 6 shots in total over the course of both legs and my side having around 45 in total, I reckon I'd be willing to take the gamble and accept the odds.
From the other side of the fence, the fact that a team that's cost several hundred million pounds to assemble feels that its best chance is to accept the opposite odds says quite a lot about the rival they're facing.
I don't understand this being 'found out', they're not invincible, they're just a football team, the best there is at the moment, in twenty years time no one outside chelsea will give a hoot the current chelsea team, you can't say the same about barcelona.

so were inter lucky the other year?
i guess united were lucky when they beat barca over 2 legs and kept a clean sheet at the nou camp
I suppose thats how chelsea will be remembered in twenty years time, the luckiest team ever.

inter and chelsea had exactly the same gameplan.
