A very, very good player. I always felt that if he had been blessed with height to match his undoubted ability then he would have had the potential to be a top PL player; but a truly good pro nonetheless.
You always felt safe with Kevin in goal except if, as stated previously, his height let him down. However, it didn't happen very often and he kept you in the game more often than not.
great guy in the tradition of city keepers as a shortarse keeper of old myself i could see how he well he used positioning to negate that.
you have got to be good to play for as long as him
Two of the best saves I've seen from a Leicester keeper - his one handed save against Palace in the Play off final and a save where he burst across his line to stop a point blank header against Stoke in the semi-final at home I think if anyone can help me out?
Shame he left Leicester on a sour note, but great keeper and definitely the best of that collection in the early 90s of himself, Muggleton, Ward and Hoult.
Correct KTF
very early in the 96 1st leg of the play of Semi - fantastic save.
As for the 1 handed save in the final of the same year, I remember thinking "oh carp 2-0",but somehow he gets a full hund on it and tips it over, quite spectacular - to think that was early in the 2nd half aswell, that goes in and the game is over
Unsung hero of the paly offs
