With regards to Snodgrass

I'd say that if a Premier club want him they'd get him, I don't think our wages would touch the Premiers, and I think that the man in charge will be looking at what he can gain more then what he could lose!..

And as for saying he can leave at the end of season!..

Tomorrow is the end as far as we go!.

Agreed, we need to get the chants going tomorrow of, "Sign a contract for the lads"

If it were all about wages we expect he'd have signed already. Then again I could drop my pants and push out a massive steamer that's worth more than Honest Ken's word that we've offered him all we can afford.

I don't think it was a wise move to say, mere hours after Warnock announced the contract offer, that it was a "final offer" and we could go no further.

We've had more then enough players having offers this year gone!..

And then the "final offer" was given notice!..

Snoddy has said he loves Leeds and he ows it to the club and fans to pay back the loyalty they have shown him, and that was in League one!..

I would love for him to stay, but he has been loyal to us and with us a few yrs now, I'd think if the club don't show they want him that that will be the first stumbling block in Warnocks love of Leeds United!..

This is one that will sort the backing from the no backing, and then we'll have an idea as to how well things will be with Warnock!..

that boy has carried the team for ages, too good for the side. in my heart i would love him to stay but i think he should leave, he gains nothing by staying.
when he moves on i just hope he doesn't end up with a poor side like norwich

If he leaves, he can suck on a fat one and choke on it. x

Yours PD?

Why would anybody blame him for leaving? The club's repeatedly shown no ambition whatsoever.

posted on 27/4/12

I understand his frustration. Club not showing ambition. Not willing to renew contract of their captain and former academy player Jonny Howson. Snoddy will only stay if club signs good players+the likes of McCormack. Clayton sign new contracts

as i said above i think he should leave, as supporters, we naturally want what's best for the club, players cannot and should not think that way, they need to do what's best for them. clearly snoddy has outgrown us and he should move on.
The management of the club should be looking to develop every player so that they are able to ply their trade at a higher level.
If a young player is bought and doesn't develop into a better player then they are not doing their job properly.
For Snodgrass to move on it shows the club have done their job properly for once.

posted on 27/4/12

No, if Snodgrass moves on the club haven't done their job properly. If we were in a position where we wouldn't suffer for Snodgrass moving on, then the club would have done their job properly. As it is, I doubt we'll stand a chance without him in the side, based on our history of "replacing" our best players.

i agree harrow,i think he will leave whatever is offered, read on another forum that he was offered 20k with getout clause but he can easily get more in the premiership, even from the promoted teams

JonnyLeeds,

No, yours. x

Good luck to the lad, been with us a few years and carried the team a few times.
Stay another season with us or join a prem team for more money. I'd love him to stay but thInk he'll be offered more money and take it in the premier league. He may not have the pace of the premier league but if they sign him he'll have the bumper contract pay. In a job where a bad tackle can end your career what would you do?

posted on 28/4/12

If I were him I'd leave, no point sticking around the bates circus when you have an opportunity to do better.

posted on 28/4/12

Maybe he wants to play for the club?

I can't believe a suggestion to sing for Snodgrass to show him how much we love him has attracted 4 1 star ratings

Some saddos on here.

Marko, welcome to ja606!

eric onion is at it again, trying to take the moral high ground by saying he's ok with "reasonable" posts and then avoiding, ignoring, deleting any posts that suggest that the club is going backwards and will continue to go backwards until the ownership changes, regardless of how reasonable that view is.

Apparently "negative" and "reasonable" are mutually exclusive, and doing anything but assuming we'll get the best outcome no matter how unlikely is unreasonable.
