It's going to be a loooong day at work on Monday
Don't worry we'll get the draw needed plus Newcastle will do us a favour so enjoy the weekend it's only sat morning!
On Monday I made an article " A week is too long". Felt sick after the Everton throw away and wanted to put things right. Now I could wait another week.
It's going to be so tense on Monday that I'd rather the league just stopped now and we stayed top forever with the season incomplete.
On a serious note I've found adopting a confident statistic based attitude helps. From eight points clear I said the league was effectively over and I stand by that. Because to lose it would be an unprecedented capitulation for United. And even in the potentially perilous situation we're in now, for City to win the league they need to beat us - not easy, Toon away - not easy - and QPR - easier but they may need a result to stay up and that can never be underestimated.
So based on those factors I think City's chances of winning the league are about 30% and ours - City away not easy but a point would do - Swansea at home - should be ok considering they're on the beach - Sunderland away - on the beach and Larsson out injured. I'd put us at 70%.
Obviously I won't bore you with the statitics of how it's worked out but taking the nervousness away I think that's about right. So be confident. But remember after last week anything can happen.
Unfortunately, it's not only our fans but also the manager who have stated that a point will be a good result. If he puts out a team aiming to draw, we will almost certainly be beaten.
Sir Alex is always adamant that he never sets out looking to draw but his team selections have at times in the past told a different story. And the results have almost invariably been catastrophic!
So please, no 4-5-1 on Monday. It will play into city's hands and show fear on our part. We must go for the win!
4-4-2 with Giggs one of the 2 in the centre please
Only if you play Savic in goal and Kolo in CB
Good to hear I'm not the only one feeling physically sick thinking about Monday.
I want just kick-off to hurry up.
Honestly have no idea how the game will pan out.
I might have a bucket next to my bed today in case I feel nauseous.
I preferred De Gea in paddy Roche mode
I really hope utd set out for a draw
Good to see their is nervousness on both sides. As united fans we know the title is their to be lost but city have got one hell of a challenge. Effectively having to beat the two best sides in the league form wise - not including city obviously - and then make sure they beat a team at home who will be fighting for their lives. And on top of that knowing this will be your first league title in the modern era and your trying to reign in the side that has dominated for the last twenty years.
If city do all that and hold their nerve then they will be worthy champions. I can't see it tho. Whatever happens Monday - unless united win - i think it's far from over. City win and the pressure is even more on.
Is no one excited about monday? I can't wait, games like this is one of the reasons we love football isn't it?
Whoever wins the title will be worthy winners, that's always been the case
Does kind of wrinkle yer gut, so to speak...just get it on....why did it have to be on Monday when we IS all sooooooo anxious.....Paulpower, you sound like a loser...too anxious and already saying "whoever wins"....At united we are more positive... we shall win, and well now, we'll even settle for a draw!!
We just know know not to set ourselves up for a fall
I don't think we will win to be honest, I'm hoping for a draw.
I don't think we will lose.
Why is this game on a monday ? Sky ?
it's the great manchester run tomorrow and at the time when sky were selecting their televised games both clubs were still in the europa league and could have been playing thursday night, which ruled out saturday.
According to the Telegraph Nani might be out on Monday. Did you guys heard anything aout that ?
