Great timing for him to say something like this!

What did he actualy say?

Gareth Bale on his Spurs future: "If we don’t [qualify for the Champions League], we have to sit down and discuss what's best for myself."

It was inevitable but just goes to show what Bale is about and a nod to what motivates modern footballers. Timing is poor too.

Don't worry, I am sure Modric will def want to stay whatever happens

The words "come and get me plea" come to mind.

We have the same problem....

Bendtner, Vela and Denilson all want out

Bale, you ungrateful little . If you don't qualify for the CL, you don't deserve it.

Get back on the left wing and put some decent crosses in if you want it that badly.

Wow, what an unbelievably ish thing to say. He genuinely does think he is Cristiano Ronaldo, doesn't he?

What he should have said was "I don't want to think about that now, all I'm concentrating on is Spurs."

Instead the impression I'm getting is "All I'm concentrating on is CL with or without Spurs"

What he IS saying though is "all I'm concentrating on is myself."

Yes that as well. What a selfish . We should pull him out of the team tomorrow just to teach him some respect.

Can't blame him. He's too good for us. This implosion will set us back 5 years.

Bale me out - How can you say he's too good for us when we're relying on players like him to help us get top 4, and yet we're slowly moving further and further away from it?

Gareth Bale admits he will consider his future at Tottenham if they fail to reach next season's Champions League.

its funny cus he thinks he is good enough for the champions league

Bale was on fire at the start of the year. It's only since the redknapp is telling him to play centrally and on the right he's been poor.

He's just honestly answering a question. Look at him going into the crowd last week, he's still up for every match, unlike Modric who wilts at every opportunity.

No player is bigger than the team - if Kenny knows that for Livershite then every player should.

Bale has totally believed his own hype. Just like Nasri - thinks he's the dogs balls when in reality he disappears when needed. You'll be glad of the £30m, trust me.

Good afternoon all. These players make me laugh - they are the ones who play. If they do not get CL footy then it is their fault for not delivering the goods. For the shambles they have made in qualifying they should be made to stay - they are still under contract. Trying to jump ship when they are the ones who have caused it! Get on with it and start winning for a change

Hello Lady. I agree with you 100%. They should take responsibility for their part in the failure and aim to correct it. If everyone had put their share of effort we wouldn't be in this mess. I think there was too much naivety there from both the players and manager when we were so comfortably in top 3, that they could take the foot off the break a bit.

If they're talking about considering their future for the sake of CL before the season is over then I'm not convinced they've got all their focus on Spurs

Yes bale is an i diot for saying this, especially as we still have such an important month to come but the only people i blame is tottenham and our complete f uck up this second half of the season, gareth bale is part of that blame because he is part of that team that have truely messed up our season big time
