Uncertainty is definitely bad for the club.

It doesn't appear that the ND Estate are willing to sell the club for a £1.00 and from what John Peling has said the £75M debt hasn't been written off.

There have been [internet forum] discussions regarding the purchase of the City Ground from the Council and who may or may not, already own large chunks of the surrounding real estate.

I don't think where we finish [apart from club revenue] in the Championship greatly effects value. Elevation to the Premiership however would.

The club and owners both current and prospective need to have a five year plan in place, that might encourage additional investment with a long term aim to buy out the estate.

The manager need's to build for next season starting now. That requires additional investment, not just in playing and coaching staff, but also in a business plan aimed at increasing revenue.

Let's hope that going forward the clubs management is put onto a professional well run basis, instead of some ones hobby as things appear to have been run in the past.

This can be the dawn of a new erra for NFFC. The club and fans can unite around the objective of gaining Premiership Status and building on the fan base.

Then perhaps while I'm still here to see it we may all witness the magic and electric atmoshere generated by the visit of a continental football team to the City Ground for a European Football Competition!

We can live in hope!

Nothing deluded at all.

The thing is the European nights were electric. Maybe with the right investment we could find ourselves back in the Prem. Southampton have risen again, why not Forest.

Just because Olde Yankie Doodle Dandy does not want to invest in you, it doesn't mean someone might not want to invest in us. Even losing to Bayern in 95 was a great night. Now, just because your guys can't remember such nights, it doesn't mean the impossible cannot become a reality

Unfortunately, I think that we've shot ourselves in the foot on several levels. The introduction of FFP, means that investment isn't really viable. We're unable to move expensively contracted players on, unable to re-sign out of contract players and don't seem to be in a position to sign new players. It would seem that the £75m `gift` that Doughty put into the club is now officially, according to Pelling `debt`. I think that the outlook is bleak, and no news at this time is bad news. I'm not getting any positive vibes from either players, management and zero from board level which would suggest that things are about to go from bad to worse. If the estate can't sell, I wouldn't be surprised to see them call in repayments on the debt at the turn of the year.
