Stick with Rafael, his defensive game is under-rated.

rafa, give him a chance for god's sake. yes he made mistakes at everton but if he's selected he will know that saf trusts him

If Evans doesn't make it do you play Smalling at CB with rafael or jones at RB?
Evra has been poor for a few weeks now, have you a plan B at left back?

No back up at left back Paul Maybe Fabio but I am sure Evra will play

Evans will play I think, more likely Jones would play with Ferdinand rather than Smalling...

Smalling and Ferdinand did well in the FA Cup against them, if Evans is out. To the OP, Rafa.

With the enormity of the game, playing the experience of Giggs may well be a better move than a lot have been saying

Rafael, elementary.

evra's captain, no matter how badly he's playing he really can't be dropped.

The experience of Giggs and Scholes plus the energy of Park in the middle, sound good Paul?

Would like fatty Anderson as well but you can't have everything

Park Anderson Giggs

If we beat you with that midfield...

Rafael at RB 100% for me.

One poor game overshadowing months of good form in most people's eyes.

Though Smalling or Jones would give us more height on set pieces, I think Rafael would be more suited to the small nippy players City have in their open attack.

It's a very good question.

IF SAF considers Smalling fit enough then I'd go with him, because IMO he's more reliable, less impulsive (we really can't afford a sending off) and will give us extra defensive cover, particularly given a draw would also be a good result for us even if not the direct target. Smalling is also surprisingly good going forward, and more of a threat at set pieces.

I do worry that Aguero and Tevez are both very clever players and could ghost past Rafael as he sometimes loses concentration and fails to pick up players runs.
