Have you actually got a team?
need about 10 new players at this rate wtf
Wouldn't be surprised, it is his home City after all. We'll make signings, soon, hopefully, unless the whole youth team have been promoted.
Good luck except against us Robbie.
Thanks for the great service to our club.
Gonna miss his celebrations
and his big fat bum wiggle
but not in a g ay way
Cant really blame him . I think if it was any other club other than cardiff he would be resigning for us. He loves cardiff so good on him i say . Overall last season he was pretty poor and i believe we have a ready made replacement in findley . He must have been a high earner aswell so that frees up some wages for McClarens targets aswell .
GK's: Camp Darlow Smith
Defence: Morgan, Gunter, Chambers, Lynch, Laccalles, Freeman, Maloney
Midfield: Majewski Anderson McGugan Cohen Reid McCleary
Strikers: Tudgay, Findley, McGoldrick, Garner, Blackstock
Definately some gaps there to fill especially looking at our strike force
pretty gutted at this, was hoping to see if he could do better with a new formation and better delivery. I understand him going to cardiff, but think that putting ourselves in a position where we can lose him to a rival for free is a massive mistake. if we actually sign up enough players to make our squad competitive, cardiff are likely to be a promotion rival, and now they have by far our most deadly finisher.
Lets be fair, we all know Earnie likes to move around. Just look at how many clubs he's had already. Cardiff if his home town club and has an affinity with the place and its fans. He has honoured his contract at Forest, gave his all on the pitch, so best of luck to him. A good player, but we can now plan to recruit a replacement.
Looks like the Maynard deal will be prioritised now.
I just hope Moussi signs, if he goes then this will be a severe blow to the club.
yeah, don't blame earnie at all, no bad feeling to him. i don't think we'd be losing him though, if we had acted like any other club and offered a contract a few months back.
same goes with moussi, i expect he's as good as gone already.
Good luck to him, he did a bang on job for us but started to look a bit rusty (although I don't think his style suited Billy)
Sad to see him go, I thought he'd stay on for another season at least, but I guess the lure of his home town club was just too irresistible.
so, Doughty, that's another one out the door - do you intend playing up front yourself this coming season?
moussi next to go so i hear aswell.
Did you get a good fee for him?
Now then Dan, that's not nice.
Just interested, we made almost £1m loss on him, they called that bad business.
Wondered how much of the £2.6m they recouped.
Out the ones who've gone Earnshaw is the only one I feel a bit sad about, he scored 45 in 3 seasons and didn't play every game so not a bad record. He had started to look a little jaded last season though.
We've also lost Bennett, Tyson, Adebola and McKenna; all of which are good moves for the club. Clearly we have to get some replacements but there's not one of them that I'm sad to see go in the slightest.
Someones pants are on fire.
In fact I'd go as far to say I'm happy all of them, bar Earnie, have gone.
Bennett was barely League 1 standard, as was Tyson, Adebola signed because we were the only ones willing to give him 2 years - God only knows what Hull are thinking. McKenna was great up until the injury mid-way through last season. I saw him have 1 or 2 decent games after that.
I'll wait until you to see Tyson in a white shirt blazing chances from 10 yards into the stands before commenting on the heat of my pants Aj.
It's been announced on Cardiff City OS but nothing on ours yet.
Think that with a prolonged run in side instead of chopping & changing team, things could have been different for Earnie but good luck to him
I imagine McC is looking to play one up front with McGugan, Reid and Majewski (maybe even McGoldrick, Garner or Tudgay) supporting them. I don't think Earnie is best suited to that role and prefers to play alongside a bigger striker. I'm sad to see him go but he probably doesn't suit the style and is on the biggest wages.
Good luck to him though.
