Hello Melbourne I'm afraid I can't help you with coverage of the match as I am not overseas. Unfortunately I am having a sleepless night and just checked in to see if anyone had posted - it's 5.20 am here and I am trying to get some zzzzzzzzz's. .

Sorry you won't be with us but know you will be in spirit along with all the other overseas Owls. There used to be a poster on the old BBC606 called Brisbane Owl but he has not found his way to JA yet.

bbc606 was always number 1 for me and now ja606 has taken that mantle......just, this is a great site for keeping up with things, however on matchdays new-606 is much better.
i think most on there are from overseas so understand your situation better than most.

Gotta agree with that, thanks to the legend that is Imre and his smuttiness its more or a less a po rno site on matchdays, TBH im amazed they allow it on a footy forum

It's such a pity that there aren't more Owls on here. I am always at the home games and some of the away games, or visiting my mum in her nursing home so have only tried initiating a match thread on here a couple of times. I ended up talking to myself mostly

Yeah Ive noticed that matchday threads are really scarce on here, just a pity that Imre & Maddix has to add elements of female disrespectfulness to the match threads on new-606. Now im as red hot blooded as the next bloke but to put on the "Lucky Stuff" on a footy thread, where kids could easily gain access is inappropiate I think

Are threads generally split between the two sites then? Seems fragmented since the BBC 606 site shut down then?

I would rather not look at a match thread <or any post for that matter> on New606 or Not606 . Hope you find a link before Saturday.

I'm happy with this site,it has the right balance of football related threads and general stupidity, plus posters on here are the ones that i think are the most colourful characters. If I assume what I think Mega means by 'Lucky Stuff' then that is pretty poor form considering there are posters who don't want to see that kind of thing.

I love ja606, it's just like 606, shame it wasn't up and running a bit sooner as I think a lot of people lost interest with the initial teething problems.

JA606 is the only site for me. Had a new606 mod chatting with me on facebook trying to convince me to join the other lot lol! Turned out she was a friend of Imre's

Trueblue, you referring to Pamela?? I flit between both sites and am on New606 more than here but on matchdays I only go on there as there is no-one on here!!! The last matchthread on there got over 400 posts, even with the "Lucky stuff" maybe putting some off!!

There are a number of us that go on both sites (monster, kimmy, even Brisbane sometimes), I wish we had all ended up on the same one but some are banned on here and some are banned on there, so it has split us up. Huddersfield have the same issue, like us their boards on both sites are fairly busy.

As regards Melbourne's question there will be no live internet coverage for this game. The only ones you will find will be the Prem games and any that Sky or espn are showing. When we are on sky, the firstrowsports.eu site seems to be the best.

Ive posted a few times on there but its not a patch on ja606. Like stated already its crying shame that there isnt as many owls on here, its even a shame that theres zero banter between us and the Pigs, theres only Chunders but he's for a blunt

I think a lot of semi regular posters on there, like myself, got bored by the lack of activity on here.
The bo obs and bums aren't my thing but it's better than tumble weed matchday threads.
Attendance and goal scorer prediction league are a good laugh as well.
Nothing can come close to the BBC 606 for me.

It's never been the same since the demise of the BBC 606 site. The fans of all clubs all contributed on one site, now they are all split up over a number of new alternatives. Some clubs on here have lost all their original fanbase (eg the Blunts) they have all found different homes. A lot of posters flit between sites to catch up, or simply to find some activity and interest.

Other posters like to flitter round and write basically the same (but reworded) posts on a couple of spreads, just to fill it out a bit.
