if we beat slovakia, i think it will be winner takes all for us in Russia. A draw could well be enough as well with Russia having to travel to slovakia. First things first, three points against Slovakia are crucial

I didn't realise that 3 or Russia's remaning games were at home. The Russians are very difficult to predict but I think Macedonia & Andorra at home are easy wins for them. They should have beaten Slovakia at home and I think they'll grab a win away in Slovakia also. Ireland simply don't beat high ranking nations way from home and I think we'll be doing well to pick up a point in Moscow.

I predict that Russia will get 10 or 12 points, Ireland 9 or 10 points and Slovakia will get 4 points.

If we can manage to win the matches against Slovakia, Andorra and Armenia and draw with Russia . We will finish on 23 points.
Russia will beat both Macedonia and Andorra. But if they can only draw against us and Slovakia they will finish on 22 points. 1 behind us!!

So if we beat Slovakia and they in turn do us a favour by either beating or drawing with Russia then we might only need a draw in Moscow to win the group!!!
