Ditch the tv deal & go back to our roots, the product is terrible with the current set up, it needs to be shaken up
The reliance on TV money has done more harm than good to Scottish fitba. Problem is so many of the SPL clubs are on a financial knife edge I dont think they have any power to jeopordise it
Why is everyone obsessed with money, how much does a cost to organise a game of fitba?
Penny has dropped , Take DU and Motherwell for example. DU are using every penny they take in to reduce debt and Motherwell are looking to cut wages despite probebly going into the most financialy succesful season in their history.
We cant have any kind of serious reform until the majority of the clubs are on sounder ground.
Or they can take the same immoral route as rangers........
I could see UEFA taking nationwide sanctions against us if clubs tried to follow Rangers route en masse.
The whole situation we are in is a right mess. The right thing could cause a lot of pain initially for many clubs but the alternative of making sure everything just stays as is will keep the league stuck in the state it is.
The scottish game is the best example of how money can ruin fitba because clubs are only interested in the short term needs, no one is willing to stand up and propose anything different that will benefit the long term all because they don't want to go through the immediate pain, its a shame because we're left with the same product year in year out & no one can even compete in europe
